weaver is. something alright this literally isn't true I don't know why they just straight up lied here
PU slugcat vessel. In the last image, they're using the thought broadcast technology to communicate concepts / experiences, since I'd assume this might be easier than learning to construct and produce language. Their slugcats can also broadcast specific words, though. It's kind of like those dogs that press buttons, but more intelligent?
Umbra isn't the greatest at being a slugcat. Still, it's good to experiment! or something. this scenario is more of a what-if, but I could still see them branching out into testing this at some point or another in the main canon.
The marks above their heads are PU's own marks of communication. Their slugcats were purposed with them from birth, since they didn't want any distress with adjusting to them later in the creatures' lives. They're very conscientious about caring for these companion organisms properly, likely due to their own perspective as a smaller being (as compared to a standard Iterator).
The ID drone is still present and still very necessary to keep things working properly. i haven't figured out the inner workings of this vessel in- depth bc that sounds like a lot of time i could spend fleshing out concepts that are actually relevant haha
