Minto Age: 24 On the shorter side of inklings Weapon main: Squiffer and other snipers but he is willing to use others Often changes his outfits but always keeps his helmet, the only 'unqiue' feature of his is how he dyes his finger tips to his ink color in a way to mimic octolings but also how bones the model does the same

Minto has a complex relationship with himself. 

He detests looking too long at himself in the mirror. 

He hates being perceived by others.

He cannot find satisfaction in how he looks- knowing objectively he is not the ugliest thing on earth yet cannot be satisfied in how he looks either. 

What he wants out of his looks is something he knows he cannot achieve. He wants to be taller, he wants broader shoulders, he wants to be cooler, he wants unshakable confidence. So many things he wants to change that he thinks itd be better if he could be literally a completely different person with the dream ideals. 

He day dreams sometimes of being something else. If he were another species, this one or that one, something more to his tastes of what looks 'good' of what he thinks he wants. 

Sometimes feeling he isn't real, but he is real, he's right here, breathing, hearing, and seeing everything in front of him. He knows hes real as he's alive and thinking and how he can't stop thinking of how he feels almost every bit of himself- of his skin and the wind blowing past it, of his insides with his the thrum of his heart beating and cool ink getting splashed onto him in a turf war. To feel the clack of his top and bottom row of teeth together. Too concious and feeling every milimeter of movement of his limbs underneath him. He's alive but all too aware of himself and his movements. All too conscious of himself for comfort and ease of mind. Overly animated in his motions, that he is a performance of a being rather than what is authentically living, waving both hands to say hello and try to be part of conversations and speak when hes in a group. In after when hes alone he wonders how obvious the performance was. Were they just nodding along to be polite? 

He can't fathom a reality of getting all he wants for his body and in a defeatist mindset still doesn't try to change what he can to the best of his ability. Preferring as such to hide behind the headgear. Finding security there than anything else he's tried.

So he prefers to just take it out of the equation by hiding behind the full headed mask, taking away the identifying qualities many squids have of personalized hair and what not. 

He recognizes that he still stands out by virtue of not showing his face but finds it more comforting that still they cant see him. 

To not have to worry about the expression he makes and how he looks takes some weight off his shoulders. Due ironically to the heavier weighted gear on top of his head.

The fear of being perceived, the distaste of viewing themself, and discomfort of being a person is hauntingly isolating to the squid and believes many would not understand in this day and age for how highlighted individuality and personal style along is in popular culture 

Often more in his own head and selfish due to his own behavior in not making actual connection with others to understand others in depth as if they would then they'd realize many others out there could be feeling similarly. 

To not reach out is to his own detriment. To be too ego- centered as concerned so much of himself, his looks and how he behaves around others to think that others CAN understand and believes hes just singularly 'faulty' compared to others in society.

To him being outside with others is more performance and motion of acting like a person than ' being' a person. A puppet on strings that hes also the one puppeteering.

To others that while they dont know his face or know what he looks like the staple of how he emotes with his whole body and keeps a regular routine of where and when hes at, 

That the most identifying feature of him is his dyed finger tips that are abnormal for a squid but not impossible with the new fads as octolings meld with society more 

Minto also finds bones- the model- Fascinating enough to remember in how she is also in his own mind ' an abnormal squid'
