Can minors interact with your fics/follow you?
Hey there!
Yes, sure! No problem! Just some things to be aware here (long post below):
1 - I'm ancient (born in 1994, but my dad claims I'm more than 1000 years old, now everyone in my family says the same and not even I know properly how old I am when people ask me) which means minors are ok to interact, as long as you think of me more like a big sister/aunt/mentor rather than something else ;)
2 - I'm very used to interacting with minors like an older sis'/mentor 'cause of volunteering and talking to my readers in my country. There are a lot of people I've helped figure out what they wanted to study at University and cheered when they got there, so I'm pretty much a cheerleader for self-development :D
(A mix of Dante and Vergil, but I'm Nero's age. Literally, if I'm not wrong.)
3 - I don't write openly sexual stuff 'cause I'm not comfortable sharing them, as I'm ace (demisexual to be exact) - so I don't talk about this even with people I'm close. Will someday I write something more NSFW-ish? Who knows, maybe. Don't read it, kid, I'm paying attention O.O
4 - There is, though, gore, violence and cursing here, as much as you can find in Devil May Cry and other series that might appear along the way. There are stories with less and more gore/violence/cursing, but I always tag when there's something particularly triggering - I trust every reader, even minors, can be discerning of what they want/should read.
On that note, I do need to mention: I'm not a hypocrite. I started playing DMC when I was 13/14 years old, but you know... It wasn't ~too much~ for me. So, I won't be treating anyone like a child - you're welcome to read if you think you can handle the subjects, 'cause our experiences shape our maturity to certain matters, I think.
Also, when I was that age, my friends started talking about sexual stuff - and it's ok to talk about it with your friends, but not with adults (like me). I think it's ok to talk with adults if you have any doubts, for instance, about a situation where consent was blurred and you're not sure if it was clear or not.
Regarding my writings, I am aware that minors read fanfictions and I do my best to show them healthy relationships, with consent and respect between two people - so young people will know when something is wrong in their lives.
I'm not gonna pretend minors don't read whatever they want :)
5 - Like I said, I'm ancient. I write Vergil's and Dante's s/o's as if they are older as well, quite mature and chill - so themes and reactions might be too grounded/boring for younger people ^^
(I tend to philosophize too much sometimes xD)
But you know, if all that is your cup of tea and you're ok on treating me like a big sis'/aunt/mentor/Nero's hot-headed twin sister, it's all fine!
Just pay attention to the tags and don't read things that may be too much for you - again, I won't be patronizing, but sometimes the gore/violence/cursing/sexual innuendos will be too much depending on your age. I'm trusting you to be responsible as well and stay away from the content that isn't catered for younger eyes ;)
(You know. If it's written "Taking a bath with Dante/Vergil", it most definitely isn't for a minor to read, but I'm not your mom)
I know it's a VERY lengthy answer, but I thought it was the perfect ask to make these things clear so everyone can have a good time here ^^
