after the brexit thing over here I unfriended people like crazy. There's way more to brexit leave voters than what tumblr thinks, but i had soooo many school and college 'friends' who voted leave because they want

Yeah, I’m gonna have to unfollow some people, if not outright unfriending them. But I think it’s especially bad because of how Facebook does things now, where people who aren’t even your friends will show up on your feed just because your actual friend commented or reacted to their post. Like my best friend’s fiance is a really nice and intelligent guy who is very vocal in supporting civil rights. Buuuut, he’s originally from Alabama. XP So a lot of really ignorant posts show up on my news feed because basically all of his relatives are racist or otherwise bigoted. So it’s like, I don’t want to unfriend or unfollow him, cuz he’s cool. But because I’m friends with him, I also see a lot of crap that makes me angry.
Also, I have a hard time not speaking up when I see someone being a douchecanoe on my friends’ statuses, and that riles me up. You know how I am. Being salty is how I met you, after all. Lol.

SAME. and it shows up sooooo often in fic with vampires/werewolves/etc particularly. it’s everywhere and it squicks me so much :/
This is actually a huge part of why I’m writing the werewolf&vampire series I am, is because I love the concept but not a lot of the tropes that go with it.
idk, it might be hypocritical of me to like the things i like and condemn this, but it just bugs me so much. (Probably because I mean, for example, anyone you ask will say that no, teacher/student in real life is bad, but in fiction, it can be a fun trope. But possessive partners who gaslight you away from your friends are commonly seen as “normal” so to see them in fiction is not a fun fantasy.)

Oh no that is the WORST. My other problem is that for genre fiction, usually you want your title to kind of signal what sort of book it is... but my whole point in writing this series was to sort of twist around common werewolf and vampire tropes into something fun instead of, you know, excuses for abusive relationships. So I'm sitting here staring at these books and going, well... how do title.

IT'S SO FRUSTRATING because sometimes I write an entire story because I have a great title for it, and then sometimes I have these stories and like. I have plotted out FOUR FULL BOOKS now. FULL SYNOPSES. And every single one of them has (working title) or (untitled) because I can't find one I like.
