okay, normally i don't say stuff like this, but i'm starting to think that kids might indeed be an oppressed class. the most common first job here is a paper route, which pays 4.50 total on a good week. a really good week has you be paid this amount and also only takes 3 hours of work. a more average week costs 6 hours of work total, and pays around 3 euro. the minimum hourly wage at it's lowest point here is 14.99. somehow paper routes have figured out a way to pay less than an euro per hour and the law is fine with this. disabled people (much like myself) also might struggle finding any job paying minimum wage so are told to get this job instead, and i'm just going to say this, paper routes shouldn't be allowed to pay this little and people shouldn't be forced into doing them because they either want some pocket money or literally have nothing else to do all day
