So this week, I've been focusing on incorporating more strength training. I'd previously taken a muscle flex class at the gym or participated in a boot camp, but both have wound down. This left me doing strength training only once a week with my trainer. I put this workout together (with the help of pinterest). I'm not a certified trainer in any way. I was focusing on core, arms, back and legs. And not making a lot of noise in my top floor apartment:
Up-Down Planks (10 reps each side)
Elevated Lunge (10x2 each side)
Lying Tricep Extension (20 reps w/ weights)
Overhead press (10x2 w/ weights)
Bent-over row alternated with Upright row (20x2 w/ weights)
Chest press on exercise ball alternated with Overhead press on exercise ball (20x2 w/ weights)
All weighted exercises were done with an 8lb weight
Heel touches
Knees up crunch
Side plank (30 sec. each side)
All abs exercises done for a count of 25.
This works for me but modify it as needed :o)
