Belated photoemotions of Berlin Bicycle Week captured by Sima Koreniwski
Was a great pleasure to spend three awesome days at Berliner Fahradschau 2016, finding every day something new in the Station Berlin. Apart from a few boring commercial stands with tonns of carbon and utility, we met some new beautiful brands of cycling apparel, bags and munition. Also little labels built by our german and european friends like Veloved, Lucky Basterds and Cyclemehome. In terms of last Fahradschau there were much more cargobike propaganda and social mounts - that rocks!
After staring highly professional Kunstrad Show and Bike Polo, Kim decided to take part in Altbau Kriterium, which is nothing but cycling in a super tight und curvy simulation of apartment. ‘Some bruises, but lots of fun’ - she said after. Tamara tried Minidrome built by Radsportgruppe Ungemütlich the first time and got in love! Then participated with Lea the Goldsprint, a race of only the very fastest (and the ones with most flexible hip tendons). Two bikes fixed to a speed measuring device. Prize was a custom made Goldsprint frame for men and for women. Pretty amazing many of the participants hit 80 km/h.
Fun and unusual race The Junkyard Cyclocross with lots of participants and visitors. About a 100 racers rode in and out of the main Schau building through a cross terrain, in the dark. There was one woman, one guy dressed as a unicorn and one fat guy to add caracther to the otherwise very fast and fit riders. Stefan Wis who got second place in the Radrace the day after was a pleasure to watch in the steep curves.
Excited about the next year! YEAH!
