klaroline trope ... original klaroline, on a full moon.
I donât even know guysss⌠Minidrabble. I love original!kc so much.
Caroline was woken up abruptly by a low growl and the nudge of a wet nose against her shoulder. She groaned, shifting on the bed she and her husband shared, pulling the covers over her head and burying her face in Klausâs pillow. âGet out of bed. Youâre going to shed all over it.â
She squeaked as he nipped her shoulder lightly, though not enough to inject venom, and turned to glare at him through bleary, tired eyes.
Full moons were generally her âmeâ time, and they had been for the past four hundred years. Klaus was always moodier and generally unpleasant to be around in the few days surrounding his âtime of monthâ as Kol so aptly dubbed it. He was never violent towards her, but the first few full moons after being turned had been brutal, their fights explosive and mostly baseless, and it wasnât until Caroline pointed out that maybe the intense mood swings theyâd all noticed from vampirism werenât mixing well with his suppressed wolf that heâd acquiesced to letting her have some time to herself and take out his aggression elsewhere.
After a bit of research and some theorizing on how making hybrids would work, they trapped and compelled Katerina in a room and took blood from her over the period of a few months before using her to break the curse. There had only been a few full moons since theyâd done the ritual so far. The night of his first turn heâd gone for a run and didnât come back for two days, but for the last few heâd wander around for a few hours before returning to her, still in his wolf form, and climb into bed, wrapping himself around her protectively.
Sheâd asked what his deal was the last time, and sheâd immediately regretted her irritability when Klaus looked her in the eye and told her that his wolf form made it more difficult to resist guarding her in case Mikael took the opportunity of him leaving her to run in his wolf form to catch her unawares.
She still wasnât used to him turning up randomly at two in the morning after a little less than five centuries of habit, but once he nudged her again she scooted over to make room for him, deciding that the next morning she would ask one of their new hybrids to go to the market and get more sheets, especially since these ones were likely to be torn.
That was the other new thing⌠Klaus had always had a high sex drive even when they were human, but his preferences around the time of the moon seemed to have shifted. Heâd always liked watching her face when he took her, said that she was at her most beautiful when she was flushed and dark-eyed, and would enthusiastically sling her legs over his shoulders to taste her without being coerced or asked (something that sheâd gathered from her female friends was uncommon, which she thought must be a real shame for everyone else). He often enjoyed watching her touch herself, drawing out both of their releases until they couldnât take it anymore, and he occasionally talked her into letting him tie her up or slap her ass in a way that sheâd never expected to be so pleasurable.
Though heâd also liked to take her from behind occasionally, around the moon he was now noticeably rougher and moved faster, and she found that she didnât mind (even liked) having her face pressed against the pillow and her hair tugged as he fucked her. Heâd always liked it when she begged but seemed especially fond of it in those moments, teasing out her pleases and promises that sheâd always belong to him (as though he didnât already know).
She now would wake in the middle of the night to his wolf crawling into bed, and the next morning to her husband with his tongue between her thighs ar his fingers teasing her clit before he flipped her over to âclaimâ her, or some other such caveman nonsense.
She closed her eyes and snuggled against him, and the next thing she knew she was being shaken awake by Klaus, now in his human form.
âMikael,â he hissed, and she was immediately much more alert, sitting up and taking his hand as he pulled her from bed, gently steering her towards the closet. âBe safe, fjÇŤturr min. Iâll catch up.â
The phrase quite literally meant, âmy shacklesâ, and had been one he used sarcastically when theyâd been forced into a marriage neither of them had wanted, though over the years heâd begun to use it teasingly when she was particularly stubborn before it somehow became his affectionate endearment for her.
âYou as well,â she whispered, pressing a kiss to his lips. âBite him for me.â
He chuckled, though it was cut short by a crash outside the house and the distinct scent of something burning.
The full moon shone brightly in the sky as she fled, and though she was tempted to turn back when she heard the crack of bones as her husband began to transform, she knew he would always find his way back to her.
Hopefully he would let his teeth sink into the throat of the man who had caused them so much misery, and they would finally be free.
