Cricketheart was silent as she stared at the slab of Moonstone beneath their paws, her mouth slightly agape. After a moment, her mind reeling, she turned to her companion.

"Did you know Swampfur was-"

"No."

"Woah." Cricketheart blinked, stunned. Lynxpaw's mismatched paws' claws dug into the surface of the Moonstone, scratching it as she glared down at the stone.

Then she grinned.

"And here you were making fun of me for my brother meeting WindClan cats!" Cricketheart teased, playfully nudging Lynxpaw's shoulder.

Lynxpaw glowered at her. Then, she huffed, shoving her face into her paws. "Watching that deaf cat get rejected was the highlight of my afterlife."

Zeg and Crusher were in the library. Zeg wanted to learn about other recipes he wanted to add to his restaurant. He was also adding his homemade recipes but he didn’t know if they were enough.

“Qui… Quai… Uh…” Zeg tried to read the title of the recipe. “Quickie?”

“Hm?” Crusher went beside him and looked at the page. “That’s pronounced Quiche, big guy.”

“Oh!” Zeg nodded. “Okay! Zeg got it.” He read it again. “Quiche.”

Crusher nodded. He went to another aisle to get a few more recipe books for Zeg so he could help in making the menu. 

“Can Zeg and Crusher make quiche later?” Zeg requested.

Crusher turned to him again. “You want… Me to help you make quiche?”

“Yeah! Crusher good chef!” Zeg affirmed. “If Zeg going to be chef, Zeg has to learn from other good chef.”

Crusher’s metal cheeks slightly reddened at the compliments, still not being used to it. Genuine compliments. He nodded and replied, “of course, big guy. I can make help you make quiche.”

“YEY! Zeg happy!”
