Weekly Photo 33/2026

Azalea are such special flowers they are a symbol for nature being reborn and Allen kind of got reborn after he started traveling with Mana. He left his past as unnamed circus child behind. Maybe he didn't have his most happy years either living as reminder for Mana that he had forgotten about Nea, but he was finally helpful and needed again. Something he never knew before... at least not with the memories he had.

WiP - Mini Allen - Arm Mod & Face up

So here is the last part for little Allen on his road to be finished. It was extremely stressful and way too hot for doll things but I finally made it.

First of all I applied glue to the arm to have Allen's Innocence structure as a base for it. After it cured I blushed it in a deep red and added some details.

This seems like a smooth progress but .. the doll was making everything a bit harder. The s-hook slipped into the arm and I had to take the doll apart and putting it back together took forever. And then somehow the string was too short at one side and I had to take apart the other one again... but in the end finally I had a full doll again.

As said it was super warm and therefore the sun was incredible bright, photos were kinda hard.

Then for the little face. I started with my usual blush layer and after the first layer was done I continued with the linework.

Starting with the eyelashes, adding the eyelid line and the eyebrows last.

Final step was to add some gloss.

I had to take those in my kitchen as all other rooms were either too dark or too bright :')

And here is the little darling.

All done! There are some tiny things I dislike about the face up but I can repaint it if it bothers me too much.

WiP - Mini Allen - Base Clothes & Prep work

I made the base cloth while I was not actually working on the wig, as mentioned before my motivation was not the best during the majority of the project and ended in a rather bad episode overall. Therefore progress was slow... which takes me back why I take progress photos. In the end I saw I did have a lot of progress despite all the mental issues going on.

At first I made his thights, I never make them with pattern but just pin down fabric to make it fit, that's a more quick and easy method. I learned to love this method as I made socks for both of my spider legged dolls.

After that the black shirt followed. To be honest for the MSD version of the character I never made one I just used one from the stash and put it on backwards...

but not this time. I gladly had the pattern from older outfits for this doll type in a folder and adjusting them was easy.

After that wass done I needed to dye some fabrics to get closer to the reference colors we have.

I am aware Allen's outfit is pictured as red/blue. But I fell in love with this diamon patterned fabric as the diamonds look like they were scribbled onto the fabric and I gladly had enough leftover.

WiP - Mini Allen - Main Outfit

After procrastinating and mental health issues I decided "okay today is the day, today I will have progress on this". And I had progress. In fact I managed to complete the outfit within a day. I only had planned to start on it, therefore I am more than happy that I finally started going back to normal.

First was making the lining, as I learned it's better to do that first to figure out if there are any issues.

But as you can see it all went nicely, I was able to start on the main bodice.

Look at him. Already super cute. I hope I have time and energy to paint him soon after this is done.

As I put the lining and outing together I had one major thing to add...

bias tape. You maybe know my love-hate-relationship with bias tape and it gets worse the smaller the clothes are.

As the tape was annoying as ever i gave myself a break inbetween and made the glove. It is less detailed than the MSD one but I also need to squeeze it through the sleeves. The MSD outfit didn't have lining.

Weird to think back to that as now everything gets lining.

Next up was then closing the last seams by hand and adding the bias tape by hand onto the sleeves. Followed by the decorative stitching.

And of course not only for the coat but for the skirt(?) as well. Last thing added was the closure.

And here we have little Allen all dressed.

WiP - Mini Allen - Wig

You know making wigs is always my favorite part of doll customizing but somehow the week i worked on this doll started cursed already. I had little to no motivation and it sadly continued.

So from hardcap to glueing wefts several days passed. And It went okay-ish but ...

The parting needed to be done on another day and is still causing issues and somehow the bangs decided to be a pita. I only sat there thinking I ruined this wig. Which would be a shame.
