You know making wigs is always my favorite part of doll customizing but somehow the week i worked on this doll started cursed already. I had little to no motivation and it sadly continued.
So from hardcap to glueing wefts several days passed. And It went okay-ish but ...
The parting needed to be done on another day and is still causing issues and somehow the bangs decided to be a pita. I only sat there thinking I ruined this wig. Which would be a shame.
I somewhat tamed it with lots of hairspray but I can see myself touching it up in the future.

Finally a full doll project after HOW MANY MONTHS? No matter what it has been way too long.
First was making the cap and choosing the fiber. Funfact: the fiber is from 2014, and it's still enough for several wigs, I am beyond impressed.
Then glueing the wefts, I was sure it would not be enough prepared wefts but it was enough. After I made the parting i let the whole thing cure overnight with some cling wrap over it to let the parting set.
Trimming followed next. I might adjust some bits later on. It was a rather easy even though the parting decided to be a bit annoying, but it's still not the most complicated haircut.
Here we go, still with protection but I had the rest of the doll in the other room for sewing.
Sneak peek onto the base of his outfit I guess. Here he is with hair. I think I really need to trim the wig a bit more but I want to see how it works with the mask and face up first.

Ehhh it's not the best job, but I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go at first. Probably needs more shaping, but I'll keep poking at it with the razor.
First order of business for the new kid: wig. I had planned to use the yarn on the right, the red-brown, but I also have this flame-colored yarn...
Which one do you guys like better? Or should I just make both?
For this guy, for reference:
The price on wig making and stylization is so bad that I'm seriously considering start making my own wigs and stylize them.
