New orchid alert! My first mini phalaenopsis.
Apparently these are much easier to bloom and overall easier culture, let’s see how this goes. 🌸

New mini phal 👌
I believe the second flower spike on my Mini Phal (right) has a semi-peloric mutation. The petals have a coloration more akin to that on the lip. Specially the right petal has a deep purple blotch next to a yellow shade. Also, the flower isn’t opening properly, and that problematic petal is kind of deformed.
Unfortunately, the rest of the buds on that spike suffered bud blast, so I cannot compare with any other flower on that same spike. I hope it creates more.
Brassidium Shooting Star’s new growth is developing so well! Next day I move it I will take a picture of the roots, because they are gorgeous too.
Mini Phal has all the flowers in that branch open now, and they look so pretty!
Phal the Second is about to start blooming. Perhaps next week. Can you guess the pattern?

Mini Phal is flowering once more! Joy! I bought her in December, with flowers, and only three months later she is in bloom again. I love the dotted pattern!
Mini Phal had surgery donento remove that infected area on her leave. I was afraid it could be either “bacterial brown spot” or “bacterial soft spot”. It hurts to remove part of a plant, but it is always better than letting it expand to the whole orchid.
This thing on Mini Phal’s leaf is worrying me. It seems to be some kind of bacterial or fungal infection, and it is progressing :S
