University AU: Introduction | Fashion | Not Enough Caffeine
Seungcheol’s in his final year of his Sports science degree, and he’s just about ready to throw himself at a wall. He loves sports, and studying about the science behind it fascinates him, but this semester was really testing his patience
Jihoon usually finds Seungcheol facedown in their shared apartment, textbooks spread across the coffee table. The 3rd year Music major (no surprise there) wants to care and tell him to go to his actual bed, but he’s fried. He’s been hiding in his studio the last week, fine tuning his latest song for the submission next month
Jisoo doesn’t understand why Jihoon works himself so hard. He knows studying Music is hard, (god he knows, after four years of studying his eyebags are reaching his knees), but Jihoon’s brilliant at what he does. He takes it upon himself to look after his overzealous hoobae, reminding the younger to sleep and eat every once in a while
Jeonghan, on the other hand, surprised everyone when he announced he was going to be majoring in Childhood Education and Psychology. Jisoo, his longtime boyfriend, likes to take at least some credit for his surprise announcement, after letting Jeonghan look after his cousin’s twin daughters during their winter break
Junhui and Soonyoung barely live in their shared dorm, because they’re always in the dance studio, choreographing, or practicing, or teaching. Yeah, you read that right, teaching. Both Junhui and Soonyoung are assistant teachers, and take great pride – with a sprinkle of sadistic joy – in their work (aka drilling the younger students into the ground, and then some)
One of their favourite students, who also happens to be the youngest in their not-so-little friend group, is freshman Lee Chan. They can’t help but be slightly partial to Chan; he’s the only one in his year that’s taking the same advanced choreography classes they’re in (and he’s a freshman!!!!). The giant maknae also minors in PR and Advertising, much to literally nobody’s surprise...
Wonwoo predictably decided to take up Philosophy, with a minor in Psychology. The 3rd year student spends most of his time buried under a mountain of books, unearthed only by his insistent, puppy-like best friend Mingyu for food and sleep
Said puppy-like best friend (along with his longtime suffering Chinese boyfriend) are both 2nd year Fashion students, although Minghao focuses on modelling and photography, while Mingyu tries his hand at styling and visual merchandising
Seokmin and Seungkwan are both in Broadcasting and Media, although Seokmin is considering adding a minor in Performing Arts (Singing). They do everything together (radio, MC, presentations, you name it, they’re doing it together). Their teachers can’t bear to separate the two because of their unique chemistry, but it’s also mainly because Seungkwan is the only one who can manage how loud Seokmin can get sometimes
Hansol’s always been curious about space, and what lay beyond the clouds, so naturally he chose to major in Astrophysics. It subjects him to endless jokes about space, black holes and him turning into one of the characters on big bang theory, but he thinks it’s interesting, and Seungkwan will always offer to beat anyone who teases him with a baseball bat
