Biome Magic [BMAU] : General Info
Welcome! Do you like Minecraft lore? Do you have / want to make a minesona? Keep reading!
Biome Magic is an AU for vanilla Minecraft in which players, depending on what biome they spend their time in, can develop the properties and abilities associated with that biome (some of which are drawbacks).
If a player stays in a biome for long enough time, the effects can become permanent.
This AU was originally for a Minecraft series I was into, but I’ve changed it into a vanilla Minecraft au open to your OCs / sonas.
The biomes are divided into categories based on the severity of their effects. * The biomes are also listed here in order from least to most severe.
Simple: Savannah, Taiga, Flower Field
Moderate: Mesa, Swamp, Jungle, Mycelium, Desert, Ocean, Ice Spikes
Powerful: Nether, Aether (?)
*Biome types may be added, deducted or changed on this list.
The effects of biome magic vary greatly from biome to biome, also depending on how long you stay in one. There are ways to regulate the drawbacks of biome magic, especially for the less severe biomes. More info will be apparent in the masterpost.
If one is partly mob or partly/mostly robotic, biome magic will affect this person less, apart from incredibly strong magic, like Void Magic.
One’s backpack is an important part of BMAU; it should be personalized to their personality, and more importantly, biome magic type.
Suggestions for the contents of each biome’s backpack will be included in their posts.
While it’s not necessary, most people have a mob that is binded to them, usually docile, but not always.
Docile mobs, if you have no perma-magic, will adapt with you wherever you travel. If you do have perma-magic, their abilities will match yours.
Hostile mobs will not adapt in the overworld, but will change upon staying in other dimensions.
Mob alterations will be included in the individual biome posts.
Masterpost will soon be available here ( x ).
