Capitano - “Pigstep” Lena Raine

Other than also being a Technoblade fan and the sort of obvious way I write The Captain in honour of him - Pigstep is mellow enough to fit the Captains’ vibes while also being strong enough [Composition] to compete with the others who also fall on the minecraft songs list… if that makes sense. A beat that could slip into a medley of the other harbingers

I got back into animatics for a reason - I might have to convey it in that method later on.

Venti - “Comforting memories” Kumi Tanioka

A song that feels old but isn't, something that feels like it was there in the beginning but its developed and changed and still the same all in one

“Comforting memories” Andrew Prahlow remix - however I feel is like Ventis’ unsung tribute for the nameless bard and his era's heroes. The pauses in between the string instruments I imagine Venti reminiscing about them. The low bass notes being strummed by the ghosts of yore while Venti is plucking the higher notes.

[Side note; Venti would not like the way I personally play minecrsft with my villager trade halls and redstone mob farms in the skies and mines]

Sandrone and Wanderer - “O's Piano” Amos Roddy

If I remember this one, the Chase the skies update with the Happy ghast. lovely lil guys.

This theme would fit Wanderer and Accolyte!Sandrone

I have to specify Accolyte for her because pre Nod-Krai Archon Quest!Sandrone does not suit it, when she's understood herself and is viewing the world as she is now. That's how this song would vibe

Wanderers much farther in his journey of self discovery so it's like an ode to the paths they both used to trek and now have deviated from

like… perpendicular lines. A once in a lifetime convergence in each other live where they existed as a unit [Harbingers] that neither will get back from lack of knowing or from guilt of having been in that position

This is not ship propaganda, I studied psychology and literacy. Breaking things down is a learned thing for creative direction and appreciation.

Kokomi - “Labyrinthine” Lena Raine

Solid composure with a sweet melodic main rhythm but there's a jitter bug squeamy feeling from the loudest instrument that feels like how Kokomi's stress would manifest.

Then at the 2:40's when the ‘chorus' appears I see it as the ‘Little fish braves the ocean'part of Kokomi facing the day

that peeters off at the 4:50's mark to signal she's done for the day.

Xiao - “Featherfall” Aaron Cherof

When he's just become freed of his previous masters' hold, the brief periods of relief from his karmic debt when Zhongli delivers his medicine, his time with the other Yaksha before they pass.

The Xiao glimpsed between the strides of war

Natlan - “Otherside” Lena Raine

How it felt getting to Natlan and the initial exploration and seeing the joy in the characters and how they expressed their love for their nation and their individual tribes and culture

just all around positive which I am aware is a controversial take for Natlan as a whole

I'm speaking through an ingame perspective. For the characters themselves they understand their connection to the lands, the importance of it all and if we were to ever get just… information of the sociology of natlan, agricultural information- the behind the scenes world building it would be nice to add more validity to the assumptions we as outlanders make looking in

I do wish they had more thought put into the significance of using my and others culture as reference for Natlans’ creation and basis but that's a whole bigger industry to dig into

So incorporating appreciation for my nation through my interpretations is the best I can do.

The Dragonspine mimic - “Rubedo” Lena Raine

or Subject Two, Albedo's brother with no star. I personally call him ‘Rubedo’ and I Heavily associate him with this track

‘Rubedo’ is an alchemic term for the last stage off the top of my head, the process of reddening. something something- it's supposed to be the diamond in the rough or the final resolution of an alchemic equation and the answer.

Rubedo of course, is not that so his name is sort of a misnomer [misnamer? it is one of those terms] which is hilarious from a literacy standpoint but not as an actual life altering factor like a name in Teyvat.

Rubedo is actually in the fic, love that planty guy. Dendro!Albedo the beloved. I have many thoughts on him if this did not already spill that to begin with

Mondstadt - “Subwoofer Lullaby”

The closest vibes of coming ‘home’. Mondstadt was the first place for us and the Traveller to explore, getting to know the world, learning the mechanics.

Tighnari - “Aria Math”

Out of everyone, Aria math had always felt like it suited the domestic day in and day of Tighnari. the jungle of the charms on his outfit, the climbing busyness in the music matching the building layers of his clothes. This track always plays when you find the jungle biomes too and the landscape fits the Avidiya forest to a T

Dottore - ”Moog City”

He was always going to be considered on this list. Artificial sounding, The beginning always starts like a loading screen, digitally considered.

The bass notes can be seen to represent the insidious meaning behind his words. the strum instrument build being his chorus of segments

2:00's drop representing Zandiks fall where it then picks up with a few of the previous instruments being the last of them [Beta, Omega, etc.]

Jean, Barbara and Varka - “Wet Hands” and “Dry hands”

I can see this as a song each of them would have practised learning as they grew up being in the social class that they're in

a montage of them as children growing up, Seamus and Fredrica are both still together and in the picture raising them, the oldest son Varka playing with Jean and Barbara as they run around the courtyards after knight training

then as they've grown and become adults we have them in more serious positions.

Traveller - “Minecraft”

Can be either Aether or Lumine, who ever has the position of Traveller in your world. In this case I will be saying Aether.

He is our Steve, our ‘Minecraft’ or Genshin. The repetitive nature of the title screen song playing on loop, gradually lifting in tempo and falling.

Zhongli - “Sweden”

A staple of minecraft tracks, when that other instrument appears I think is when it starts feeling more like a Zhongli tune

Kabukimono - “Mice on Venus”

When Wanderer first enters the world, this is how I think she would view the world and the human and the little little onikabuto beetles that pitter patter across her pagoda.

Imagining newly created Kabukimono stepping barefoot into the wilds of Inazuma for the first time and just feeling the sand beneath her feet, feeling the thrum of electro pulse in her chest, seeing the stormy clouds for the first time

the twinging notes closer to the ends of the song being that uncomfortable build up of Ei and Yae noticing her personality, seeing that she had emotions and coming to the conclusion that this was not an empty puppet for Ei to embody and inhabit

That precious unknowing before she was cut from the palace and made free- a very pivotal twist to the quote;

“Freedom when demanded of a God, is no freedom at all…”

UGh Wanderer makes me sick with thoughts- Every era this asshole exists in does. Kabukimono, Kunikazushi, Scaramouche and Wanderer. [as you may have noticed i do use a range of pronouns depending on which era, i cannot remember if i've shared my Wanderer character analysis here but its just as, if more, extensive as Dottores’ it just has more solidified in game context because we actually know more about him at every stage of life.]

“Living Mice” to continue the line of thought - its sombreness but still high plucks feel like Kunikazushi-esque as they deal with that abandonment and roam Inazuma freely, meeting the

then Scaramouche… “Thirteen”. It's the eerie aftermath of watching the corpse of that kid burn, feeling the betrayals hit him all at once and that build of resentment drop into his soul

then right at the end the supposed clarity that he views the world tying together to make his newest identity of Scaramouche.

Heavenly Principles - “Beginning”

It's a song you wouldn't immediately associate with the main songs of Minecraft but it is an essential building stone for it

thats how the Heavenly Principles present themselves

Its brief, not even 2 minutes long, but taking it from the playlist will still leave an empty spot of foundations

Istaroth - “Equinoxe”

like something that doesn't sound right but it's still on time, the ticking of the clock that's present throughout the song is a big part of why i'd associate Equinoxe with Istaroth

Naberious - “Oxygene”

Similarly with the twingey gratey noise at the forefront of the song that also feels like a twist on life

Ronova - “Death”

Well. It's sort of explained by the title

it's not really a song and more like a very short audio story of a chicken's death in minecraft with a squelch.

its eerie enough to be significant to invoke the association

Paimon - “Dog” and “Cat”

It's a Paimony updooty little tune that I can imagine when Traveller first meets her. You can imagine her bobbing up and down to if Genshin was a 2D game but it's still down to earth to feel homely in comparison to “Cat”s beginning 30 seconds

“Cat” would suit the later versions of Paimon as she settles in as she grows closer to the Traveller and we get to know her better.

Ajaw - “Droopy like your face”

yes… thats an actual song on the 2011 official minecraft playlist

Other than its oddness in how it sounds it does fit the technological differences of the AI representative of the original Ku’hul Ajaw and the brashness of his presence.

and a few extras that I don't have any additional thoughts on other than I would associate this character with this tune because I was too busy listening to said song than thinking.
