[2] How does their social personality differ from how they act when they’re alone?

Finn has nutured this mask of prince charming for too long. He's fun, he's witty and very charming, he can make anyone trust him and fall to his feet in five minutes tops. He even lets people think he's just a dumb hot guy if it would get him what he wants, but usually he can't help but coming as very smart, a great conversationalist, very cultured... which just adds to the charm really. He has commited for this for so long I don't eve think he know who he is anymore.

He almost developed this persona as a survival tactic, people know he is a bastard, and an elf. Right now he's at a point where he's the one that keeps finding excuses to bring the fact that he is. He wasn't enough of an elf for the elves or enough of a human for the humans. He was raised on the Alianage until he was 11, and for the next 11 years he was raised by his uncle as a noble. He was meant to be a scholar, but he decided to be a Warden instead. He was trained as a warrior but raised by rouges. He has Antivan blood and raise by an antivan but has only ever been on Ferelden.

His real self is very insecure, because he's never truly belonged anywhere, not really. He's very closed off, and in a way shy, and quiet. He has learned to enjoy life as his persona, but the moment he's alone he just wanna be drinking some tea and reading a book. He's curious, and nerdy, he finds everything interesting and wants to learn about everthing. He's very sweet and caring, detail oriented, nothing and nobody is too small for him to care about it.

[6] How direct are they in conversations, do they speak in hints and riddles or bluntly say what they think?

Depends on who he's talking too, his reads on people are so good it's almost off putting sometimes. But he's way too good on the social game to give all his cards right away. If he thinks he can be subtle and get information subtly he will do that. He usualy comes of as seductive and flirty right away, and he may not even be trying but if someone interprets it that way he'll just roll with it.

But he's known enough people who are bold, direct and a little unaware, he will match their energy.

But never really give them more than he's prepared for which usually isn't much.

[22] Do they have nightmares, and if yes, when did they start and what are they usually about?

What's important to have in mind is that Finn was a toddler during the Fifth Blight in Ferelden. He's been traumatized and deadly afraid of the Blight since then. He's been having nightmares about Archdemons long before he became a Grey Warden.

2. How Rook got their most prominent scar.

Leah looked over the wound, man healing magic felt really nice of the person using it knew what they were doing. She grimmanced:

"How did you even-?" she said

"Archdemons are notoriously hard to fight"

"So I've heard" she giggled a bit "I'm a better necromancer than I am a healer...for what I know, this looks bad..."

"Well it did bleed a lot..."

"Hmh? Oh the scar"

"One of those darkspawn got really rowdy so..."

"Well that's not good, but did you...hit your head in any way...?" she asked with a concerned expression

"Well...at one point the Archdemon did throw me over..." he instinctively put his hand on his temple

"Ah" she muttered "You might want to consider seeing a more experienced healer..."

"...How long is it going to take...?"

"Until you lose your sight completly? Could be a couple of months...we could extend it to some years if you, like I said, contacted someone with more experienced"

"Can you... put me in contact with anyone?"

"Of course"

8. A time Rook argued with someone they care about.

It was as the words 'I don't expect you to show up for Dock Town Rook' that something in him snapped. He ushered Elek out of the room and approached her, with fire in his eyes:

"Okay, we need to talk" Neve crossed her arms, waiting for whatever he had to say "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I made a selfish decision"

"Rook, I know that-"

"No! You don't know, because I never told you. I wanted to give you your space, but after Weisshaupt I don't know if I'm going to be able to survive this!"

That took Neve out, she wasn't expecting that:

"I really want to say it wasn't an emotional decision, but it was. I did think that Minrathous was more...capable of defending themselves, but I didn't think that they would leave Dock Town to rot...

But of course they would"

"And you didn't consider this? Didn't you grow up on one of your Alienages?"

"I know!" he breathed, that touched a nerve "I told you it was selfish!"

"Why did you go to Treviso then?"

"Because my family has ties in Antiva! Because I wanted my sister to see the place our- her...where her father grew up without being Blighted..."

"...so everything...just for that, huh?"

"I really thought...I don't know what I thought..."

"I don't think we had much time to think either"

"It's personal too, you know? With Dock Town?"

"How so?"

"Because they killed Lorelei...she was from Denerim's Alianage too...

I got one of mine killed...but if it's for her. And for every other Shadow Dragon. For the people of Dock Town, for you... I'm going to try my damdest not to fail any of you again.

3. How long does it take for them to officially be together? Did any of the other Lighthouse members have any suspicions beforehand?

I think Lucanis and Finn would most definetly have different responses for this. Lucanis would say right after Finn helped him patch things up with Spite, and he made tarta de limón for him.

However this blew completly over Finn's head because he's used to people being a lot more forward with him and didn't quite get the subtlety.

So they were dating for like months and Finn just didn't know, he knew Lucanis loved him and he loved Lucanis but not that they were official. He realized during Blood of Arlathan when Lucanis wanted to kill that Venatori 'on the house' for being creepy about his partner. And Finn full on went "Partner??? We're together???" And Lucanis is "Rook we've been dating for three months"

They made everything clear when they went back to the Lighthouse and Finn just happily accepts that they're dating now (they were already dating)

During the first few weeks I can see the girls watching Lucanis and Finn fumble every social interaction they have, and wondering if Finn is ever going to like Lucanis as much as Lucanis liked him. When Finn starts liking Lucanis as a friend they cheer Lucanis on the distance. Neve might want to place some bets.

Davrin really cares about his good friend Finn and thinks he has the worst taste in men he's ever seen, but with time he does see that they genuenly care about each other.

Bellara and Harding find their fiesta flirts absolutely adorable because they get so shy about it. Especially knowing that Finn is not shy at all and having genuine feelings for someone threw him for a loop.

Taash caught their scent and hates both of them for not doing anything about it, Spite absolutely agrees and can't stop bothering Emmrich about it.

So basically everyone knows before Finn.

9. Does your Rook bring them out often? How are they like in the battlefield? Do they banter much?

When they reclute Lucanis, Finn tries to have the least amount of interaction with him as he can (he has a personal distaste for the Crows because he was raised by Zevran, and he's also uncomfortable with the possesed person) but reluctantly he takes him every time he goes either to Minrathous or Treviso (he has to be convinced to do this because it's the smartest thing to do on both cases) Lucanis does want to know more of him because he really likes him, but he's not up to break any boundries, so they don't talk much, but Lucanis always looks for him and falls in love with him more and more every time.

However after the attack on Treviso and Minrathous, Lucanis just appoints himself as Finn's loyal guard and he is going to go with him to every mission want it or not. Finn does realize at this point it's because Lucanis really really likes him (although he does not belive he's in love with him, he is, because Finn does not belive people are capable of falling in love with him) and he doesn't know what to do with this, but does give him an opportunity and becomes more vulnerable and real with him. Which does lead them to talk more and fall in love with each other.

They also bicker a lot about coffee and tea.

Even at the begining they're surprisingly compatible on the battlefield. Finn, being raised by an Antivan Crow knows more than he should about how Crows fight and how to aid. And Lucanis spends so long looking out for him, he learns about Finn's patterns and how to aid him. After Finn loses the sight on his left eye Lucanis also always stands on his left side so nothing can take Finn by surprise.

10. Do they have any nicknames for each other? Who uses terms of endearment more?

Lucanis calls Finn 'mi amor' and Finn calls Lucanis 'mi vida' ('my love' and 'my life' in spanish) Although it takes them a while to start terms of endearment at all, Finn is definetly the one who starts and does it more often.

17. What's your Rook's favorite thing about their partner? What is their partner's favorite thing about Rook?

Finn's enamoured with Lucanis' caring and protective nature. Finn doesn't have a good opinion on the Crows, but Lucanis (accidentally) wears him down by taking care of him quietly (making him tea in the morning, putting a blanket over him when he falls asleep...) and appointing himself as his protector in a way, he follows Finn wherever he goes want it or not, and always stands on Finn's left side because he got a nasty scar that made him lose his sight slowly, and Lucanis always stands there to see for him.
