You should just let people have their opinions...
I'm not arguing with anyone over their opinions. I like opinions. I think everyone should have their own opinions. If no one did, the world and everyone in it would be stuck in one place and one mindset, nothing would ever be new or exciting or even get done. So, opinions i am fine with. It's the tagging of said opinions that i'm arguing against.Â
Listen, if you like a certain thing, wonderful! If you don't like it, super! But it's completely unnecessary to tag your hate. If you don't like a show, don't watch it. If you don't like a character, that's fine, rant about them all you want...just don't tag it. No one wants to go to a tag and see hate. No one. The tag's /should/ be a place where you go to roll around in the joy of the thing you love but unfortunately, due to careless tagging, it can be a dark, scary place that no one wants to go to ever.Â
Also, overtagging. If you're going to post "I love Neal's cardigan this week" tagging it with #Neal Sampat #Dev Patel #The Newsroom #the Newsroom HBO #HBO #sweaters  #cardigans #john gallgher jr #will mcavoy #kittens and furry things #the color green IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Don't tag it so it shows up in every single Newsroom related tag. It's just obnoxious and makes people want to piss in your cornflakes then feed them to you while you're sleeping.
There's just a certain etiquette that should be used with tagging. If you want to share with your followers how much you hate something or how much you enjoyed a character's face in a certain episode, or whatever, fine, just tag cautiously. Hate/ranting should be a strictly dash thing. Don't tag it with the show's name. Let the tag be a peaceful place.Â
