Important Charity Stream Announcement!
Hello all! I donāt know if anyone here follows me on my Twitch, but at some point this week, I will be doing a special charity stream to raise money for the mental health charity āMindā in the UK.
For those who donāt know, the second episode of the game āLife is Strangeā features a scene where a teenage girl is about to commit suicide, and there are two outcomes - you can either save her or you canāt. There are also scenes showing her in a clear depressed state. Itās been a while since I played the game, so I canāt remember what you must do/say to prevent this, but I know that I will be doing my very best to not have a bad ending, if only because I want the stream to be less triggering if possible.
Mental health, including suicidal thoughts, is something Iāve dealt with for nearly ten years, and so this is one of the causes dear to my heart and important to me.
Who/What are Mind?
Mind is a mental health charity in the UK and Wales, founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), and it offers information and advice to people with mental health problems. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues related to mental health. They have info lines as well as helplines for people who may be experiencing crisis, as well as offering tips for those who may be living either with mental illness themselves or with someone who suffers from mental health issues. Itās for all ages, and they have an online community where you can feel free to be yourself and potentially make friends with others who are going through the same as you are.
Mental health at this time especially is an issue. Being stuck inside, unable to go to therapy/counseling, or even unable to work and so unable to afford medication for the month, and canāt seek the help that they may need right now or immediately after the worst of the pandemic has passed. Mental health is also extremely undertalked about in general, with very little information going around, and hopefully these donations can help to fund spreading information - including helplines and such - to those who need it now or in the future.
The donation page can be found HERE, on JustGiving. If you canāt make the stream or donāt want to watch it for whatever reason but still want to give something, please feel free to. The money goes straight to the charity, and thereās a description of what the charity does at the bottom of the page as well as other information.
I will also be taking extra measures to ensure everyoneās safety in my stream - including my own - by supplying a list of helplines and websites for anyone who might be feeling a certain way, not just during a stream but in general. If anyone has any useful helplines, organizations, websites, emails etc. for any country, please feel free to send it to me so I can include it! Iām from the UK so I only really know of Samaritans and a few sites that I was sent by Alison Sudol during our conversation together a couple of years ago. Another measure Iāll be taking is to potentially offer a five minute break at any point - not just for the charity stream but in general - if thereās a sensitive or potentially upsetting topic/issue involved.
The goal for the stream is not really important - the only reason thereās a set goal at all is because I had to put one when I was setting up how to stream it in the future. Even if thereās only Ā£5 to give to Mind, itās something and thatās what matters. Default donations are at Ā£1, so itās really just whatever people can spare to charity in this time!
I really hope that people will consider donating, regardless of whether they bother with the stream or not - the stream isnāt the important part, the charity is!
hey lovelies, sorry Iāve been so absent lately. My depression relapsed and Iāve been trying to focus on studying. As well as that, today I decided I need to set myself some goals. Because I like to challenge myself, Iāll be summitting Stok Kangri in the Himalayas next summer, to raise money for Mind, a mental health charity in the UK.
Iām super excited for it and as soon as I can, Iāll be posting a link to the fundraising page, as I have to raise at least Ā£2940 to be able to go. This will go in part towards my flights and food, etc, but the vast majority of it will go to Mind. I would really appreciate if you gave either this or the link (when I post it) a share, or donated when itās available :)

āThe stereotype of someone suffering from mental illness might be a person who's become a social recluse and lies in bed all day, but the past years have seen a rise in āhigh-function depressionā or āhigh-function anxietyā. These are people who, on the surface, appear happy, successful, and often seem to have it all going for them, but are actually suffering from mental health problems. It is therefore even more likely to go undetected, unreported, and unresolvedā.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for 27 27 and choosing to support Mind. This March I will be running 27 miles in 27 days in solid
Hey guys, Iām gonna be running 27 miles over 27 days for Mind. (Yes! Me! Doing exercise!)
27% of Students report having mental health problems whilst at university, and the Ā£270 Iām hoping to raise will go to funding crisis phone lines, online support and keeping mind staffed. Particularly over Covid, a lot of Students have suffered with depression, anxiety, feeling of isolation etc. and charities like mind have lost their ability to raise money through events and from their stores, so itās important now more than ever to support each other and ourselves.
This kicks off on 1st March, so follow my progress on the link below! Anything you can donate can go a long way, and if you canāt please share to spread the word. Thank youā¤ļø

Red January
I just said this in tags, but it's an important thing to note, especially at the start of a new year/decade when so many people are reassessing their goals.
I'm taking part in Red January in support of Mind UK, the mental health charity. I'll complete at least 30 minutes of exercise every day this month.
Links between physical exercise and better mental health are widely proven and I know from personal experience how beneficial group participation can be for motivation.
Sign up to participate at (you can do so worldwide): https://redtogether.co.uk/
I have a sponsorship link that I can share if anyone would like to make a contribution to this fantastic charity.
Support mental health this January by being active every day. Join the thousands across the UK kick-starting 2019 in a positive way - regist
