It’s been a super LOOOOONNGGG road to recovery but a very educational, humbling and supportive one!!! Today was my very first #otf workout and earned some pretty awesome splats for a 30-minute condensed sample workout. I pushed my body to see where it naturally was and I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t call it muscle memory. I call it determination, support and experience that got me through. On the right, me photographed by photographer Jenny Hollis in 2019, for my official photo as a member of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors®️ Board of Directors. On Monday, I will be 49 years old. A couple of years ago, I didn’t think I was ready to come out from under her shadow of greatness. I didn’t think I could ever be at her level. Today, I’ll be honest, I still question it but the deeper fear I have is living with the shame of never even trying to be like her and attempting her level of greatness and wasting all that she taught me.
