Mill Pond Splash 2017 in Photos
Although the forecast called for some rainy conditions, the sky cleared up just in time for this year’s Mill Pond Splash eco festival, which took place on Sunday, June 4.
Mill Pond Splash is a family-friendly event held annually at Mill Pond Park in Richmond Hill. The outdoor celebration is an opportunity for attendees to learn about conservation practices, take part in environmentally-focused activities, and learn about the natural and cultural history of the Don River.
This year saw over 50 volunteers (including the 8 Globemaster Squadron Air Cadets from Richmond Hill), 34 local green vendors and exhibitors, 3 stage shows, 1 planting event by the Town of Richmond Hill, and close to 100 little runners for WWF-Canada’s Kids’ Run for Nature!
