One of the reasons you must develop the habit of counting your blessings is because, it helps you sincerely position your mind to mainstream the goodness of God. You then understand the secret of unleashing answered prayers. (Praying with Thanksgiving). You learn how to thank Him in advance for His mercies endures forever. You escape things the enemy planned and yet wouldnt even know what happened in the realm of the spirit because God is on 'overtime' on your case. Anything you mix with Thanksgiving, is a done deal. Don't pray and wait. Pray and 'Thank Him'. If you were God and you kept blessing an unappreciative person with life, money, etc. please would you give anymore or would you even give with joy or pain? I'm grateful God is no man. I want to help you aim your next prayers so it is mixed with praise that becomes as sweet incense before God. I can tell how much God loves sincere Gratitude. And I have tested and known it is the quickest and fastest route to God's heart. It's like he releases instant wisdom for you to see doors millions of people can't see and receive testimonies that will stir up miracles. Doors begin to honour and open for you. Try it today.
