My entry for millhaven thumbnail contest!
The lightning in here was so satysfying to do
I spent a lot more time than expected at Parrots Bay (see/read why in my previous post) which didn't leave much time for photographing Snowy Owls before the sun went down. Luckily it didn't take long to find one, since a group of cars on the side of the road gave it away. I took a bunch of shots, and patiently waited for it to take off, hoping for a photo of it flying, or landing somewhere more natural looking than the telephone lines, but it didn't happen. I got excited at one point thinking it was about to take off, but it was just stretching it's leg. (last 2 photos) It was cool to see those crazy looking talons.
