Novecento is a collection of LED table lamps inspired by art deco. They are proposed in two versions, one in black Marquinia, the other in white Carrara. Different marbles are available on request. The thick marble discs rest on triangular, almost symbolic, brass structure. Even when the light is off, Novecento enhances the marble as a piece of furniture, with its unique veins and unrepeatable speckles that show on the shiny surface.

The Cedro Lamp belongs to a series of lighting objects made entirely out of solid wood. This simple and visually arresting construction makes a perfect piece for any space. The result is an environment friendly object: locally made out of wood from well-managed forests – constructed to last and efficient thanks to energy-saving bulbs. Environmentally minded all around.

Carlos started his education in furniture design and construction in 1997. In 2001 he enrolled at London Metropolitan University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Furniture and Product Design in 2004, and started working in a variety of workshops and studios. He gained experience planning and creating design solutions, mainly with the use of wood, and learned from both materials and processes.

The Huddle Lamp by David Graas combines 3D-printing with ingenious lighting design, creating a bulb cover that imitates the architecture of a megalopolis. Inspired by the 'huddled' nature of our cities, Graas designed the lamp as an expression of the the greatness that comes from the interconnectivity that 'huddling' brings about.

The beauty of the Huddle Lamp also lies in its production. 3D-printing allows creation on demand, meaning your product won't sit around in a warehouse for ages before being sold. Each is printed to order right when you want it.

The Pluk Fruit Basket is an ingenious design that keeps your fruit fresher, longer. The basket’s open, hanging construction means that more air is able to circulate around your fresh produce, slowing down the ripening process.

Inspired by the ability to ‘pluck’ a piece of fruit from a bowl, FACO set out to make their solution hang, so that any fruit placed inside would stay fresh and look beautiful at the same time. Your food stays fresher and looks great all at the same time.

FACO is a design duo comprised of Kåre Frandsen and Nicolas Aagaard. At FACO we develop furniture, industrial and jewellery designs. We aim to create products that while maintaining an edge are still simple and easily understood.

The Shiro table and suspension lamps are beautiful updates of the standard shoji lampshade. These types of lamps, usually constructed out of traditional Japanese washi paper are known for their luminous qualities and soft diffusion of light. These updated versions by design team Metrocuadro take this as inspiration and use Tyvek, a tear-proof paper-like material, to create a contemporary answer to this timeless classic. Printed on the interior, they are a unique addition to any space.

Shiro is the Japanese word for “white," but it also means “samurai” in Japanese culture. Shiro connotes purity, simplicity and loveliness, also indicating someone faithful and with a strong personality. The Shiro collection includes complements to the table lamp–a bookshelf, a suspension lamp, and soon some dining and coffee tables. With its ecological footprint in mind, the collection starts from a careful consideration on sheet materials searching for lighter alternatives to moulds and sintering.

The U-Stool by Richard Clarkson Design is an exercise in ergonomics and environmentally aware design, creating a stool that encourages active sitting and uses significantly less energy in the manufacturing process.

Designed by Richard Clarkson, Zena Verda Pesta and Clay Kippen as part of a materials research course the School of Visual Arts in New York, it is hand crafted from custom-formed plywood. The stool is also compostable in such a way as to become land-art in its afterlife. 

U-Stool engages the participant by gently rocking, allowing them to use their abdominal muscles and feet for support. As a result, you can sit for longer periods of time as the user is constantly shifting, reducing the amount of mechanical load on the back, hips and other parts of the body.
