Set 2

I've been promising a report and I have yet to write it. I'm doing nothing all that special (other than finding pretty pictures of said man and posting them for you all but I can do that any time ;) ) so I should just get to posting this. This will be a report on the Seattle show, I'll write about the Vancouver one later.

I originally planned to go to the Seattle show at around 4pm but after seeing @messiah-for-the-animals post that she and her group would be there at noon I decided to aim for as close to then as I could. She ended up not arriving until about 4pm, herself. I am very thankful she said she'd be there earlier otherwise I'd have missed a great moment in my life. For that I thank her. :)

I arrive at the venue at a bit past 2pm and start talking to the other line dwellers (as we came to call ourselves.. or am I the only one :D ). Everyone was fantastic. I loved chatting with everyone. I am usually so shy in social situations (unless I've known someone for a while, then I'm as hyper as all get out) but the vibe was so good I just got along with everyone so well. I probably behaved a bit silly or said some stupid things but I couldn't help it, I was totally digging it.

Aren't those dolls amazing?? I am totally scrounging together some monies and getting myself a set. And the painting! So cool. Still don't know what it means though. ;)

So us fangirls and boys were just hanging around when Bri's mom goes "Hey, isn't that...?"... "Yeah, that's Noel" The speed at which people's heads swiveled was amazing. I think we all might still have some whiplash. We jumped to our feet and took a couple steps forward, calling out a hi. He stopped and smiled and said "I'm not here for you lot", then laughs. We beckon him ('cause we're sirens, obvs :P ). I can't remember who it was but someone said "Come say hi, there's only a few of us". Which wasn't a lie, I think there were 10, if that, in total, waiting at that point. So he does! Not only is it him but Mike is there too!

Taylor tells Noel she needs a hug and I go "I think we all do", because I'm cheeky like that. *winkwinknudgenudge* Say no more.

After Tay got her hug I went in to hug him but the way I was reaching Mike misunderstood and thought I was going to shake his hand. I felt so bad. I did stop midway what I was doing and shook his hand, told him it was nice to meet him... then went back to hug Noel.

I am not trying to sound vain here, or weird (though I probably sound both) but I think he and I look totally cute together. It could just be that we have batteling cheekbones, pale skin, dark hair, and blue eyes (even if you can't see his). I also love that it looks like we're about to burst out laughing. I was SO nervous and awkward. When I handed off my phone to someone to take a picture (I can't even remember who it was, it was a blur, nearest person to me got the brand new phone to take the picture with and I could only hope they didn't run off with it XD ). The gal who took the picture laughed, telling me I was shaking. I hadn't even noticed. Oh, me.

Did I mention he thought my necklace was cool? Cause he did. Also, I'm calling them Field Shields. This one's name is Noel Shielding. I'm considering making them for the general public.

I also snagged a picture with Mike. He's a sweetheart as well. I didn't realise just how much shorter he would be than me. I'm 5'7" and was wearing three inch heels. It doesn't look like much of a difference her but I might have bent down a bit. >_^ Is that considered rude? I'm never sure what to do when the person is quite a bit shorter than me. I tend to tilt at the waist so I lean toward them at an angle, making me nearer to their height. Otherwise, his head would have been way too near the... Field Shield, if ya know what I mean. lol

Tiny little storytime since I'm not quite up to typing everything out just yet (it was a two day affair) but I promise it and the photospam are coming.

I look like crap here but I don't even care.

I met up with a fellow fan at the Vancouver show and we decided to wait out back after the show, hoping to catch the crew before they left for jolly ol'. Her brother waited for a bit as well as a couple other groups (including Lola and her spiffy crew). As time went on and it seemed all hope was lost most everyone had left. By about 1am it was just my friend and I, a couple of gals from Calgary who joined our congregration, and three people standing far away who never introduced themselves (mistake on their part as the above happened). By this time, thanks to sugar, lack of sleep, and general fangirledness, we were like kids dizzy on lemonade. Suddenly my friend says 'Hey, Mike'. Knowing full well who she meant my head whips around and lo' and behold it's a certain Mike Fielding. He paused for a moment, smack dab in our group, said hi (while someone else was telling him he needed to hurry), and even allowed for one picture. I actually do feel kind of bad it was one with only me in. If I'd known his time was as short as it was I would have done a group picture or something. Still, it's super nice of him that even though he was in an obviously big rush (our giddieness blinded us to the slight rudeness of stopping him, I suppose) he paused to greet us. He actually looked a little surprised. Like "What the hell are they still doing here at this hour? It's long after the show".

We were lovin' life, sir. That's what we were doing at that hour. In a back alley, near the bins. A turkey suit or god damn chicken boy may have been involved.
