Ok I thought pain meds being a fifty fifty chance of working was a me thing but other people have that too? I thought it was because I took too much ibuprofen in middle school before I got my glasses and the eye strain was causing migraines (turns out I do just have migraines the nearsightedness just wasnāt helping).
Meant to be having Chinese food for tea but I've just started with an occular migraine aura (which is making seeing fun...not) and sodium can make then worse so idk what do do now....

On a lighter note, something about my dad having his first migraine at 90.Ā
There were many, many times i had plans to do things with my family, but told them i couldnāt because i was having a migraine. Now, i have been getting them almost forever. My mom tells me the times i came home from school and while i hadnāt been diagnosed with it yet, they fit what i was told later. After a while, my parents seemed to think i was just using it as an excuse. I donāt get them as often as some people, but at worst, i get the ones with aura a couple times a week, though i can go months without them for some reason.Ā
After my dad got one, he said he now understands why i donāt feel i can drive for hours when they hit. He said it was the worst pain heās ever had, and heās had hip surgery, and that the pain meds didnāt do anything.Ā
So, while iām not happy he had one, itās funny that now they understand how bad they can be.Ā
Sometimes, Evan gets these nauseating headaches, and all she can do is turn off the lights and bring down the temperature in the house to keep from vomiting. He gently roused her, hands cold on her frame and it was enough to keep her from hurling another time. He flushed the toilet, picked her up and took her to the bed. He stayed there with her that night, hands pressed to comfort her, and it was the first time, in a long time, he appreciated the feeling of being wanted.
