I don't even plan to bother with a Christmas tree. But my kids may end up convincing me to change my mind.

My head and body hurts all the time. I feel overwhelmed. But I work to see positive where I can.

My youngest got extra credit on her art project and that made her really happy. I called my husband's Dr and got his migraine meds sorted out. I have leftover sewing projects to give as Christmas gifts to friends. I think this mystery lump in my throat is going to turn out to be nothing serious, though still painful.

If anyone wants to help with the kids here is a list i have for them.

I have spent so long being aggressively secretive about my chronic migraines. Sharing the low days and the fears felt too vulnerable, too much. At first the secrecy originated from a kind of shame, a sense that I was not whole, that my body did not work right. As the migraines progressed, talking about exactly what I was going through made it feel more real than I could handle.

I never saw my experiences represented around me. I felt alone and afraid, with no guidance of what my life could or would look like. No one should ever have to feel that way. So I have decided to start oversharing my own experiences, in the hope that someone somewhere will see it and feel a little less alone. 

Whether you are here to see experiences similar to your own represented or simply to gain an understanding of what living with chronic pain is like – welcome.
