It’s a great way to start off someone’s birthday morning — said no one EVER. What was an idea to surprise Peter with a good morning and happy birthday breakfast in bed, turned into apologies, and swears and attempts to cover up with a blanket MORE than Tony would have liked to see. And now the awkward moment AWAITS where Peter is ready to come out to meet Tony red face to red face. 

Being KICKED out of class   —   not uncommon for the girl.    Arguments started with a myriad of teachers over the years  —   She has found a small spot of the side of a staircase,   where the sunlight illuminates the pages of her novel.    With the sound of footsteps,    her gaze raises from the book to rest her eyes on HIM.    ‘    shouldn’t you be in CLASS,    Parker  ?    ’

“Peter!” she nearly yells when he answers the phone, breathing a sigh of relief. “Peter, where are you? Are you safe? Do we need to come get you? Where’s Aunt May?”

        she  knows  he’s  tired;  she  can  sense  it  as  soon  as  he  walks  into  a  room,  red - rimmed  eyes  with  a  smile  that  doesn’t  quite  reach  them  when  she  greets  him  with  one  of  her  own.   with  everything  that’s  happened  lately,  mj  couldn’t  blame  him  ——  she’d  be  as  exhausted  as  he  was  too  if  she  were  in  his  shoes.   but  she  wasn’t,  so  she  does  what  she  does  best:  she  holds  his  hand  in  hers  gently  in  an  act  of  comfort;  to  let  him  know  that  she  was  there,  even  if  all  he  wanted  to  do  was  sit  in  silence  for  hours.

❛    it’s  gonna  be  okay,  pete.    ❜   maybe  not  right  that  moment,  and  maybe  not  tomorrow  or  the  next  day  or  even  the  next  week,  but  eventually…  eventually,  it  would  be.   and  she’d  be  there  for  him  every  step  of  the  way.   ❛    you’re  gonna  be  okay.    ❜

Despite the people they fought practically day in and day out to keep not just NYC but the universe intact and safe , Amser still couldn’t even begin to wrap their head around the idea of intentionally bringing someone’s life to an end . It was a frustrating thought , that even with being around for so long they failed to understand such a consistent problem . With that realization , they felt a burst of guilt for displaying such naivety and asking someone as young as Peter such a question . He had experienced much , yes , but he didn’t deserve to be prodded by something like them about such matters . People everywhere , especially people like Peter , should not have to worry about such things . But he does .

“ ———uck! ” Peter was talking, she could tell he was trying to tell her something, but her brain was running a million miles an hour, processing what she was seeing in front of her and all the pieces from the last few months falling into place all at once. Any parental filter she usually had was momentarily overridden. 

“ No, seriously, what the actual fuck, Peter, is this— ” Hands reached up and buried themselves in her hair as she laughed without humor, as she stared at her nephew, as she realized. “ Oh my God, this is why you sneak out every night. Isn’t it? This is why you— Jesus fucking Christ, was that why you didn’t pick up that day? Was that you on the ferry? Stark knows, doesn’t he, this is the internship, oh my God, I’m actually going to kill that man, what the hell is he thinking, you’re a kid— ”
