In an alternate timeline, the Dodo bird was not driven to extinction but instead were domesticated. The British sailors took many of the Dodos back to Britain and start raising them as livestock for food and some even kept as pets. Eventually commercial farming of Dodos matched of those other poultry like turkeys, ducks, geese and chicken by the 20th century.

One of humanities biggest fuckups was killing off all the dodo birds instead of keeping them as pets
