OMF I LOV E THEM & THE IDEA THAT THEY COULDVE BEEN BFF’S & ALL & their racing together & the fact that mido imagined naruko being in kyofushi aND EVERYTHING. I’m not super romantic shippy w/them if thats what u mean, but that doesn’t mean i don’t ever enjoy the idea of them dating or whatever, i love all of the midonaru art & writing… (i.e. @mamebos midonaru fic>> (eye emoji)) & i follow a ton of midonaru artists on twitter ..(@princesspupu123 , @KY_neuf  (they don’t draw only midonaru but I’ve seen it a few times but their nARUKOS ARE AMAZIN G) and @narukodaisuki  draws a few midonarus..iDK WHY IM ADDING THIS NO ONE ASKED FOR IT BUT, they’re great artists so why not recommend them..

I just love mido & naruko so much, they are my sonS ;;;f;v;;;f;;f..;;, here have some midonaru from me as well ♡♡

it's an au where they met when they were children, naruko transfers into midou's school from osaka. midou's still bullied and naruko's also made fun of for his shortness and interest in bikes. the two first talk to e/o one day when they are both on their bikes, naruko's practicing and midou's otw to the hospital. naruko strikes up the convo first ofc; he points out how midou has a road racer just like him and how cool it is, wait i think i've seen you before!! we go to the same school right? midou is a little scared and awkward and doesn’t answer much. he speeds off.   

but later on at school naruko looks for midou everywhere bc he saw his bike at the racks, when he does midou is being bullied and w/o a second thought naruko jumps in and defends him but ends up getting into a fight with them lol (oh naruko...) from then on they stopped bothering midou, and he and naruko slowly become friends (bc naruko keeps bothering him, and midou eventually thinks it's nice to have a friend... esp one like naruko) (can they be best friends?) 

the two bike together a lot and naruko shares his dreams with midou about joining a competitive cycling team in high school, which intrigues midou so yeah they aim to go to kyofushi after they graduate middle school (it's a promise) 

but then midou's mom passes away and this takes a great toll on him and his motives and personality begin to change which ultimately lead to severing his friendship with naruko. they stop talking and naruko decides to go to sohoku instead

when they reunite in the first IH the atmosphere is cold but nostalgic. naruko jabs at midou that he's too big for his bike and midou hits a blow at him saying at least he still kept his part of the promise (joining kyofushi) and idk if naruko should tell him "you know, you used to be my best friend," which would hurt midou a Lot considering his state
