#middle child problems

my mom/dad are massive allies and my sibling is an enby but they still can’t get my pronouns right (they’ve known since last october)

i can’t have my phone in my pocket when i’m in my room for 5 seconds but my sibling can have their computer, switch, and phone in their room all day all at once.

my mom can’t go five seconds without asking me what i’m doing but my siblings can do whatever they want all day.

we’re apparently not allowed to have a day where we do nothing? if we go the whole day not doing anything it’s frustrating for my mom.

i dont have a 100% positive attitude all the time or complain once and my mom gets mad. she spends her whole day snapping at everyone.

I (binge) watched Sweet Magnolias yesterday and I was shocked by how good it was. Usually, some Netflix shows have a way of being over the top? But Sweet Magnolias was a very entertaining mix of everything a show needs.

But I'll rant about the show itself some other time. Right now, my focus is one character in particular.

Kyle Townsend. I love, love, loved his character and related SO hard to him (being a middle child myself).

It love how caring, compassionate and mature for his age, Kyle is. His passion towards theatre, his kindness towards Noreen and his feelings for Annie; all of which make him more endearing in my eyes. I mean, I know Annie sees him as something of a younger brother/friend, esp. since she has feelings for Tyler, but I really really want her to get over Tyler.

Why Tyler does not deserve Annie™️ will be another long rant, so glossing over it.

I relate to Kyle feeling like nobody would notice if he simply up and left. I feel like a lot of middle children feel that way, since their older brothers and sisters get all the limelight and the younger ones get all the affection. I related to him feeling left out because all his parents seemed to consider were Tyler's feelings, assuming that just because Kyle is mature for his age, he doesn't need any support/attention. Just because he isn't the problem child, doesn't mean he doesn't need his parents.

I want Kyle's storyline to be the major one in season 2, along with dealing with his feelings for Annie (I know this is very unlikely But CAN SHE CHOOSE KYLE?) and her feelings for Tyler (who doesn't deserve her).

(Hmm...maybe I'm biased. Who knows 🙄)

-you do all the chores

-never the favourite

-has to live up to expectations

-has to be nice everyday because god forbid anyone of my siblings gets their feelings hurt
