yesterday was an interesting food day:
a large mug of masala chai blended with English breakfast tea
half an oven warmed pita loaf with cream cheeseÂ
a hard boiled duck egg dipped in malt vinegar & seasoned with a mixture of Mrs Dash table blend & Zatarain’s creole seasoning
3 buffalo bleu-cheese cheese curls
1 can of cranberry-lime seltzer
1 tomato, diced, mixed with 1/4 cup mozzarella pearls, drizzled with olive oil & balsamic vinegar, sprinkled with dried Italian herbs, black pepper, & mineral salt
5 more buffalo bleu-cheese cheese curls
small glass of dark chocolate almond milk
buffalo “chicken” sandwich (vegan “chicken” patty immediately made un-vegan by drowning it in homemade buffalo sauce on a sesame seed bun with mayo & lettuce) with homemade potato salad
a few bites of salted caramel gelato followed by a few more bites of butter pecan gelato (”I just want a taste! ok, like 2 more tastes... now I need a taste of yours. 1 more taste. 1 more, but with a pecan in it.”)
let’s compare this to a “typical” food day for me:
lunch: tomato sandwich or dinner leftovers
throw in something sweet at some point in the day, like 1 cookie or a bite of chocolate
I was just grazing all yesterday; for some reason I was hungry the entire day. Even after eating dinner, I felt like I could eat at least 2 more sandwiches.
Stress eating? Mid-cycle munchies? Who knows!! Who cares?! Who wants to go out for jalapeno poppers, fried cheese curds, & beer?! I’m hungry!!
