I'm back to doing tephra analysis on the Microprobe and while I'm incredibly excited, I'm also upset that this time next year, I will no longer be able to have this opportunity. So I'm just gonna...go cry simultaneously from joy and heartbreak.
Hey guys!
Here is a link to the USGS lecture from back in February. It’s about an hour and 13 minutes long and there are five speakers.
They explain what the SEM does, how it does it, why it’s useful, and if you are at all interested, I think this would be a great thing to watch.
PLUS, all five speakers are women (which totally threw me for a loop, I expected maybe one or two women, so this is actually pretty exciting and inspiring for any woman interested. Yes, you CAN operate a microprobe. And if you get the chance, take it!)
I will post a quick break-down of the speakers (when they start and what subject they're covering, I'm about halfway through right now, but I recommend watching the entire lecture as it broadens the applications of the SEM).
All in all it’s a really neat video and I hope you guys find it both educational and amazing like I do.
🤘🏻Rock On🤘🏻
