#micro trains

So because I'm actually the lamest person you're ever going to meet (or possibly never meet, because I don't go out much), I've decided to start a train model. To make it more silly, it's in Z scale, which is the second smallest scale out there at 1:220, TT is the smallest, but it doesn't have a full line available anywhere. Above is somebody's example lifted from a Google image search (I'm awful). So far I've bought an oval of track, some power and a model mid-twentieth century New York Central locomotive with some (also New York Central) era appropriate freight cars. To glean an idea of how small these trains are, a locomotive is slightly smaller than half the length your index finger. It'll work out well for my tiny apartment. I think I'm going to go for a waterfront scene. I've never had a real hobby before. I tend to incorporate all my interests into something beyond just hobbies, but I can't really see this being anything besides a hobby, and that sound relaxing.
