The kid chose today's train, so it's a 110 locomotive with a rake of tank cars. I also got some work done on new buildings (that were under construction already in the old apartment), but more of those later.
Meanwhile, there's a chance I might get a place where to build an outdoors model railroad (my dream already when making this one was combining live plants with a model railroad), so I've also been looking into the possiblity of combining Sylvanian Families figurines with a large-scale model railroad to make... a furry trainworld I guess?

The Brawa Ferkeltaxi (VT2.09/171) is finally out. The bad news is that the two-carriage version costs over 200 euros.
The arguably better looking single-carriage version costs "only" 142 €.
(Both being prices for the analogue version. If I did digital control it would cost even more).
Do I want it? Yes. But is it fucking expensive? Also yes.
I also want the Kato VT18.16, which would put me back another 200 €...

I've finally had the time and energy to work on this during the past week. My Little Plattenbau, a pair of 1970s concrete houses to go on my model train layout. There are still lacking balconies – which I plan to scratch build from cardboard, as I didn't like the look of the balconies that came with the set.
