thank you so much for creating this blog! im a beginner 20 year old skater and it makes me sad that some of the younger beginner skaters here feel like skating means competitions and difficult jumps for it to be worth it. i think it's good to have a high goal but this could easily frustrate a beginner when they have difficulty getting their like 1 foot glides down. i just wanted to say slow down enjoy learning and improving. make friends and practice and you'll find joy in the process as well!
^^^ this is my thought everytime i see someone say ‘i’m a 15+ year old who’s started learning will I get triples/go to nationals/worlds/olympics’
Take it slow and focus on actually learning to skate because your foundations are the most important part and without good foundations you will never get to jumping properly. Set smaller, more achievable goals and then break those down into monthly and weekly goals and you’ll find yourself a lot less frustrated.
Have fun, that’s the best way to learn to skate
