Les Misérables, Paris revival cast, 1991 - Le Grand Jour (One Day More) - Live on french TV Here’s something you don’t find every day : a video of Les Misérables PRC featuring Michel Pascal as Jean Valjean. Michel Pascal is probably better known to Starmania fans for playing the role of Zéro Janvier in the 1993 Mogador production. This version of Le Grand Jour, which is actually live and not just lip sync like in the other videos that were found of this cast, has Enjolras singing different lyrics than the cast recording : “Mes amis, c'est pour demain / En avant, qui m'aime me suive !” instead of “Le grand jour se lève enfin / Et les droits de l’Homme s’écrivent.” Marius’s line is also a bit different. Instead of singing “Ma place est là, auprès de toi”, he sings “Ma place est là, auprès de vous” which means he’s adressing the Amis de l’ABC as a group and not just Enjolras. Final bit of trivia, the redheaded woman that you see for half a second at the very beginning of the video is Jackie Sardou, the mother of Michel Sardou who was Enjolras in the original french concept album.
