It wasn't on my reading challenge list. But I'd had a week without reading. It was Christmas, which is hard. And I needed an easy thriller to read. I'd have preferred it to be a better thriller though. Not this I remember House of Cards as a good book. This? Not so good. Avoid it. This #michaeldobbs book tends towards all things dire. If you're tempted to read one of his books, do not choose this one. Read House of Cards. But it got me reading again. Since getting home early evening yesterday I finished it, read quite a bit more of the last reading challenge book, and read nearly a third of another book. Back to the reading. Now I've got over my "Clare can't focus on reading due to mental health" story, reading seems better for me than watching too much on Netflix or YouTube.
