Agatha has finally conceived a child with her on-the-run Navy boyfriend. As she works in the grocery store, she looks out across the street to watch her idol: Meghan. Meghan is also pregnant and her life has everything Agatha’s lacks: a loving husband, nice house, happy children, and a great body. Agatha reads Meghan’s mummy blog religiously and finds small ways to intertwine their lives. Agatha’s obsession builds and her own life seems to crumble when she realizes Meghan’s private life isn’t as perfect as it seems.
I really enjoyed this book. It is very similar in style to The Girl on the Train, however, I prefer The Secrets She Keeps. There is much at stake in this novel: families, marriages, and illusions. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries, thrillers, psychological thrillers, family dramas, psychology, crime, puzzles, and action.
Warning: scenes of sexual abuse, verbal abuse, manipulation, sex scenes, and intense situations.

Read all of Michael Robotham’s books this year that deal with his characters Professor Joseph O'Laughlin and Inspector Vincent Ruiz. They have a good dynamic, both characters. If you like mystery, thrillers, crime, and psychology then you should read these books; they are hard to put down and all less than 500 pages.
