THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU SAY ….!!! . I am honored….And you mean it,…! . A very emotional day, in many, many, many ways. A day that I will remember, a day to day mouthful that being Hispanic is a moment of pride. . The one that I speak of, is the work that we all Hispanics and Latinos - Yes! The work we put day-to-day in this country to make this place we all now call home a better place for us, and at the same time, a better place for all….! . The big strides by those before us, allow us to be where we are and for that, we are incredibly grateful to all of you,…so, Gracias!!! . The celebration of all things Hispanics and in the name of a month to celebrate our heritage took place today at the Arizona State Capitol Building. I was there today! . I was there to receive a recognition. Side by side today with 30 of the biggest names in Arizona, including the most influential Hispanics in the state who opened pathways for us. . Those groundbreakers that endured and prove that we have talents and we contribute!, . I was there with those who are my age and are working hard to make our own space, and of course, the young generations who we are showing the path. . We, brown people, we were all there! . I heard my name! and still echoes in my head. . I was humble to receive my honors by the Speaker of the House Rusty Bowers, and State Representative César Chávez, a signed and sealed recognition from by the State of Arizona for my all contributions to the state. . From a humble man full of dreams that arrived more than two decade ago with four bags and full of dreams, this recognition should be mine for all of you! . That BIG THANK YOU that I try to amortize day-to-day, one that I try to payback everyday, by putting all my God given talents to work. . Today, with this BIG recognition at hand, my thank you is to this state and all its people. . GRACIAS ARIZONA !!! . There is so much work to be done, and I am hopeful. . I will continue my path with the conviction that we Hispanics/Latinos have plenty of talents to contribute, as long as a fair opportunity is given. .
