Developed my first rendition of the colour scheme for my Brachydios. This isn't finished, though, I still need to add actual lighting and shadows to this piece before I might use it as a finished design.
The second image was my initial pass, but I found Brachy's scales and armour plates to be too similar in value. A quick multiply layer to make the scales darker satisfies me right now, but already while making this post I'm having second thoughts... I wonder how I should go from here.
Doing a lot of experimentation before I ended up with this, I think with only minor alterations I might be finished for real. And then I'll be able to make the first of the actual infographic-style posters that this project is actually supposed to be focused around.
If I can actually keep a good pace this week I'll most likely have Brachydios's design complete. And then I'll be making the finished piece...!?

Somehow, perhaps due to my never having drawn scales before, my first attempt at scaling over my Brachydios proved unsatisfactory. I could not believe it. But while first at a loss, I did some thinking, and managed to put together the plans for a second attempt for me to do tomorrow.
