I was already cold enough as is being in a dark cave with the snow beneath me freezing off my feet, but it was far worse with the beast. When they roared, I could feel their breath, and it was worse than the wind blowing outside, that’s for sure.

I honestly didn’t want to do what I did, but it had to be done.

I lunged Myself Into the beast, slashing at them with my blades. This, however, only caused it to knock me back into the wall again. They took in a deep breath, filling me with worry, so I tucked in and rolled out of the way as the beast hurled breath where I was. If I hadn’t, I would’ve been frozen in that spot for good..till my physical form was removed, that is

For now, I had to keep slashing, leaping onto their back and digging my blades into them. They roared, and ice shards emerged to slice at me. I ended up falling into the snow, holding my side as the monster turned to me, raising their large ice covered nubs to finish me off. To think..I thought it was over. Yet..

I didn’t give in

I rolled to my side, almost getting scraped by the ice before feeling a low rumble. I looked up to see frozen stalactites, cracking. Eye widening, I had gotten and needed to get out of the way, going deeper into the cave as they started to fall, straight into the monster. They roared in pain, and suddenly

Pop

A shard of ice fell into the snow. At least, that’s what I thought

Turns out, it was a gem resembling ice. When I took it in hand, it suddenly got sealed in a blue bubble, somehow containing it. With a sigh of relief, I use my blades to hack the Wailing Stone out of the ice, and started to haul it out

The rest, you already know as I venture towards the cabin in the snow
