1) “N O P E”- Oh god, he’s possessed! Quick, call the exorcist!!!... but in all honestly, this is pretty much the same reaction that ‘can’t ya see’ kid had to Endeavour when he tried to be nice to him. Smiling just does not look natural on this Man’s face.

2) “Alright, so it was a next segment, and alas, the return of Endeavor into the story… Well, it’‘s not like we weren’t expecting it, we would need to see the kids going to their work study- jesus christ this chapter is going so so fast, what the hell, calm down Horikoshi you could’ve waited a little before showing them talking with burning trash man.”- Previous arcs like the Hideout raid one showed that Horikoshi doesn’t exactly do well when he draws out or extends an arc over a lengthy period of time, and he’s actually more in his element when keeping up a fast-paced story, so by juggling multiple plot points and story threads at once, he constantly manages to make the world feel alive and like it’s in motion… which is not exactly a good thing, because these kids need more time to train, not less, but that also lends itself to the sense of urgency underpinning Izuku’s hero training right now, even if the kids themselves aren’t aware of it.

3) “Ha, get rekt Endeavor, this ain’t gonna be a father-son bonding moment, they are gonna dry you of all knowledge and experience you have and then leave, and that’s what you deserve”-  Having his friends around and improving along with him also means Shoto is more likely to stick around for longer if he sees that the training is helping them, and he would have solo, so like it or lump it, Endeavour’s best hope for some father-son bonding experiences is to help the two munchkins along with him.

4) “And Bakugo seems to have something really important on his mind, and I do wonder if it’s all that talk about how Endeavour is what he could’ve become and yadda yadda- let’s see”- Maybe he does think that, but like you said, he’s here for business, and that means being as delicate in speaking to Endeavour as a bull in a china shop, regardless of how similar they are or how much Bakugou needs his help- he speaks his mind, damm the consequences.

5) “BAHAHAHAH-

NEVER MIND, THAT’S WAY BETTER, THANK YOU BAKUGO. ENDEAVOR REALLY HAD THAT ONE COMING, AND I WOULDN’T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO STICK THEIR MIDDLE FINGER ON HIS FACE RIGHT NOW”-

Bakugou: You’re an asshole, but you’re a competent asshole, so I look forward to learning as much as I can from you, whether you like it or not. Endevour: Shoto! I thought I told you to pick your friends with care!

Shoto: I did. Also, fuckyoudad.

6) “Huh… Alright, it’s not like you ignored it, you did acknowledge that he was a terrifying thing that you meet back then, even if it wasn’t with all the words… sure, you did end up more focused on the fact that he’s trying to change his ways now… Alright, I can accept this, but we’re on thin ice here, better not make any excuses for him my boy, or I’ll be the one to kick your ass.”- Izuku is one to look out the good side in everybody, regardless of their crimes, and tries not to let their past mistakes overshadow the good parts of them they have, especially if they’re remorseful or understanding of their wrongdoing and trying to make up for it however they can. He won’t overlook Endeavour’s past sins, but he understands that it’s not his place to judge him for them, and he can only watch how he chooses to act now going forward, as a hero and as a man.

7) “Anyway, he is really happy with this decision, he knows that Endeavor is extremely capable as a hero, and as the current number one, they both can learn a fuckton from him, as well as get a lot of street credit as heroes that trained under him during their school days.”- Plus, unlike the other two, I think that Yagi’s still ignorant of the details of Shoto’s family drama, so to him, Endeavour is an outstanding hero, and one whom has recently started to soften his attitude and push himself towards paving a path for the future generations, so from his perspective he’s got no idea why both kids might have reservations about such a godsent opportunity for them. I don’t know if Izuku ever filled him in on the details about why he went so far to help Shoto during the Sports Festival, but I think both he and Bakugou together are keeping mum about it because it’s a highly personal story for their friend/not-a-friend and they don’t want to go spreading it around without his permission.

8) “And now, back to Bakugo…”- Honestly though, Bakugou’s sheer confidence and faith in how the new quirks will be nothing but a benefit to either Izuku or himself as an additional challenge to overcome on his way to become number one does indicate that he’d likely have an easier time handling them than Izuku does. Bakugou might put in the effort to train and hone himself, but even as far back as his and Izuku’s first fight, it was noted that he had some seriously impressive instincts and natural reactions in a fight.

The wild and rampaging nature of Black Whip being tied to Izuku’s emotional stability indicates that rather than rigidly controlling it, it’s easier to just release it all at once and deal with the full force of it, letting the quirk ‘flow’ as feels natural to you, and similarly, the other 5 quirks need to be moulded into being a natural sense for Izuku to use, like his hands or his feet, otherwise if he clamps down on them too much, what measure of control he enacts over them results in a feeble manifestation of their true might. Bakugou is both fearless and confident enough that he’d just unleash all the quirks at once and deal with them as the situation demanded, getting a sense for how they worked by opening the locks and pushing them full-blast so he understand the limits he can reach with them and eases into a rhythm with them. 

Izuku’s permanent disfiguration thanks to OFA’s strength enhancement and his ability to rapidly improve his fighting potential through utilising the opposite approach with Full cowling- limiting the maximum amount he can safely use to the minimum % he can unleash without suffering backlash- means he’s been forced by his prior experiences into dealing with his new powers all the wrong way. He needs to ‘feel’ how his powers work by losing his tight control over them, and not try to think them through like a step-by-step sequence, otherwise they’re just too ridged and complex in action to be of any use, or too unfocused and unpredictable if he loses his mental focus over them and the image he’s got of them being under control.

9) “Yeah the seed of this idea was taking root for a long time, all the way back to the sports festival. Endeavor is what happens when an obsession takes hold of a person and turns them into a monster, and Bakugo definitely was going to end the same way if he hadn’t had his realization before it was too late- well, it was a bit late in my opinion, considering everything he put Midoriya through, but you get the point.”- Endeavour has managed to become a role model like the former Number one, but unlike him, he’s a role model for heroes and do-gooders with attitude of what not to be like. And he’s accepted that as his penance for his prior mistakes with his family.

10) “Midoriya almost forgot that specific phrase, even if he recalled the moment when he said that, but Endeavor- Oh he definitely didn’t forgot that, those words hit him right where they should, and recently they came back to haunt him.”-Midoria’s almost a savant when it comes to picking up the right words to inspire others towards positive character development, even when he himself isn’t fully aware of the words he picks in the heat of the moment when he’s fired up and lives are on the line. But nonetheless, you could make a drinking game out of the people who recall Midoria’s words later down the line and use them as their inspiration to better themselves in ways big and small.

11) “Oh damn, did he reacted to those noises in the distance before they even had time to notice them? Jesus- Alright, like was expected, he won’t slow down just so they can keep up, he’s gonna give his all, and they better do the all otherwise they’ll be left in the dust. “- Oh that’s cool. You can actually make out the faint blurs of the onomatopoeia of the chaos being caused in the panel just before Endeavour reacts to them, showing the exact moment he noticed them and identified them for what they were before the kids even realised something was going on, as well as how much more experienced he is at observing his surroundings for signs of disorder.

actually, yeah that does, but Bakugo does have a different definition of fun anyway, so he doesn’t count.”- Bakugou is in many ways a simple man with simple pleasures. He like fighting and showing off how good he is, and now a prime opportunity to show off his skills has arisen.

13) “OH NO IT’S THE BALL-PONDERING WIZARD!

HOLY SHIT HE’S HERE, AND HE HAS A LOT OF BALLS TO PONDER- RUN EVERYBODY, RUN!”- All those crystal balls, and he still can’t see that causing a ruckus on Endeavour’s turf will lead to a very painful future for him…

14) “…

For a moment I thought that was Empire State Building that he was perched on top of, weird. Anyway, back to the chapter.”- Actually, it looks really similar to that other building we saw when we first met AFO face-to-potato.

I guess one of the lead city designers is a big fan of American Architecture?

1) “Anyway, where were we… Oh right, we were gonna triple dunk Endeavor’s ass with the hardest hitters on class 1-A, the new Big Three were together, and he won’t stand a chance.”- Somewhat ironic- or karmic depending on how you look at his issues with using his quirk- but for all that Endeavour can dish it out, he can’t actually take the heat. The roasting these three will serve him might actually impact his ability to continue to perform as a top-tier hero

2) “Oh that’s a cool pic right there, but even I’ll have to mention it: Bakugo wouldn’t drink booze, since he’s a minor. He might be an asshole but he follows the rule.”- It’s probably something like a coke bottle, but Bakugou’s definitely choosing that type of holder for the ‘bad-boy’ image that he seems to think is how a true fearless hero acts- or maybe he doesn’t really care about it and just grabbed a refreshment because he was thirsty. He doesn’t have to explain himself to anybody.

OH, OKAY, NOW THIS ONE- THIS ONE IS CLOSER TO THE PRESENT DAY. DAMMIT SHOULD I JUST STOP HERE AND WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK?

DAMMIT IT’S TEMPTING TO DO SO, BUT WE ALREADY STARTED IT. GRRR SO CLOSE.”- Well, it didn’t last too long, so it probably wouldn’t have been worth the wait- much like this actual New Year’s, come to think of it. That really just blew past with the restrictions and all- or at least it did for me.

4) “WE FINALLY GOT MOMDORIYA BACK, AND SHE’S ALREADY LOSING HER FUCKING SHIT AT THE FACT THAT HER SON WOKE ANOTHER QUIRK- OH MY GOD BLESS THIS WOMAN, SHE GOES THROUGH SO MUCH”- Izuku probably passed it off as a ‘sub-quirk’ or some other such lame excuse- kinda like how Shoto has technically 2 powers in one- but if she reacts to finding out he’s got another power like this, I fear for her reaction to finding out he’s got more on the way…

5) “Alright, she calmed down, good, now let’s see her bawl her eyes out when she hears more about the little girl Midoriya saved and adopted as his little sister, and how grateful she is to him. Get ready to bring in the mops, everybody.”- It’s a wonder they don’t live on the ground floor with all the plumbing issues their leaky tear ducts cause for their neighbours below

6) “Oh my god, she’s learning, and the first thing she wanted to do was to say thanks to him- oh god just like kota, oh my god Midoriya-“- When he’s a future number one hero, I kinda expect Izuku has a framed wall of such containing all the thank-you letters he got from kids and civilians he saved back in his early days- mostly from kids though, since they’re the ones who’d most likely send him a written form of thanks rather than an email or a text message than an older person would more likely send. There’s just something so much more personal about a letter though, even if the electronic methods are easier.

7) “Shut the fuck up Midoriya- “There was only so much~” motherfucker you gave her a life, you gave her hope, she’s smiling and learning and enjoying the future because of you, don’t try to downplay how important the things you did were, because for her they mean everything.”-  Izuku’s issue with recognising and accepting his own accomplishments means that he’s more likely to recognise the good that others achieve on their own merits than the good that he himself had on their lives. On the one hand, this is an excellent trait for a hero, because it keeps him humble and prevents his ego swelling up from starting to note how awesome he was to save these people in their time of need, something which a lot of heroes in the industry have issues with due to the way the system works and themselves being placed upon a pedestal by the public, but on the other hand, it’s a sign that his self-esteem issues are still there in the background of his mind, even if he is further along on the path to achieving his lifelong dreams like his mom said. 

Izuku seems incapable of understanding the extent of the good deed he’s preforming for others- for him, it’s all about them and what they’ve managed to achieve since he met them, whilst not understanding that most of those achievements were only possible because of his own efforts to help them, even to the point of self-harming his body in some cases.

8) “OH NO HER QUIRK ACTIVATED AND IT’S GOING RAMPAGE

QUICK MIDORIYA, BRING IN THE MOPS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE

also, glad that this isn’t just a visual gag, she really IS crying that hard jesus fuck woman you’re gonna dehydrate like that.”- Izuku got his big heart from her- along with his leaky tear ducts. Sure, she’s apparently pretty timid when interacting with others from what we’ve seen of her speaking to All Might, but she understood both the extent of what All Might was willing to sacrifice to keep being Izuku’s teacher and how that would affect her son, showing that she does emphasise greatly with others, just like her son, but unlike him, her initial unwillingness to let Izuku keep getting hurt at UA also shows that she’s willing to prioritise her personal happiness if need be, for the greater good of her son’s well-being, if not his emotional happiness. 

It was a difficult choice she was faced with at the time, especially since she understood both Izuku and Yagi’s emotional investment in the time they’d spent as Master and Student, but she also had the wisdom to see that there’s also times when being selfish and doing what you want to do is the correct choice. She wanted to keep her son safe, and UA wasn’t successful in keeping that promise it made to her, so despite knowing that it would hurt Izuku’s feelings, she still decided to be ‘selfish’ for the both of them, whereas Izuku wouldn’t- and indeed still doesn’t- take himself into consideration when considering the concept of happiness. Inko is a lot like what Izuku would be if he learned how to prioritise his own wants and desires when it really counted.

9) “OH MY GOD NOW IT’S HIS TURN TO CRY”- It seems Midoria’s tear quirk is also being amplified by OFA- now he’s strong enough to create mini-waterfalls, rather than the geysers he can shooting out before.

10) “WAIT

NO WAIT GO BACK

GO BACK I NEED MORE OF THEM- GOD FUCKING DAMMIT FURUHASHI WHY MUST YOU CUT AWAY WHEN IT’S STARTING TO GET GOOD?!”- It seems Furuhashi’s plot switching strategy has become so ingrained on you that you’ve started to see his hand in the works of other artists.

11) “Well, at least we got to see one of the top 5 moms in anime again before the year ended. It was all worth it because we saw her once again, now I can face whatever the fuck this arc is going to throw at me, which, I assume, it will be a lot.”-  Rather than a large mountainous mass of plot centred around a single event or group, if this chapter is any indication it seems like this arc will have a lot going on simply by juggling small snippets of the ongoing different plot threads intertwined with each other, bouncing off each other in unexpected ways. Izuku has Zero connection to the MLA arc and the Villain academia plotline, but now that Hawks’ double-agent activities in proving himself a useful member of their cult/revolution have brought him here, Izuku’s likely gonna get wrapped up in plot shenanigans before he even knows it, let alone what he’s gotten involved with this time

12) “IT’S KOICHI AGAIN

GODDAMMIT I HOPED WE WOULD NEVER HAVE TO SEE SLIDE AGAIN, BUT ALAS, HE WASN’T ONE OF THE CASUALTIES FROM SHIGARAKI’S AWAKENING, UNFORTUNATELY.”- It seems his quirk, ‘slip and slide’, allows him to slip out of dangerous situations as well as just general movement-boosting. That, or his quirk allows him to run away from danger faster than his compatriots, who then become unwitting human shields for him.

13) “Glad to see that there wasn’t a good answer to that question so Slide just defaulted to “shut up because I’m older.” “- Sliding is basically a nobody in the hero world, and even in the MLA it’s implied he was only a medium-rank grunt, but now that Hawks has arrived and is forced to prove himself to the organisation, that means that Sliding technically has some measure of power and status over the younger, more powerful hero, and he’s certainly not going to let that small measure of superiority over somebody who easily outstrips him go unannounced. Of course, Skeptic swiftly deflates his ego, but it does indicate that Sliding and others like him might have joined the MLA because they wanted to feel more important or powerful than they actually were, and the MLA offered a chance to improve his status in the world, as he saw it.

14) “Anyway, it’s not like they need to be worried about him, they are keeping a close eye on him through cameras and sensors, he wouldn’t be able to betray them even if he wanted- which is funny considering that he already betrayed them before they even thought of that possibility.”- And given the justifiable paranoia the PLF have towards Hawks, it’s unlikely he’s allowed to remove the cameras even when he’s doing some more ‘private’ matters, meaning the PLF likely have recorded footage of him going to the john. Truly, the life of a spy is not a glamourous one.
