Focus. Concentrate. Feel the power of life surge from the deep dug roots, traveling up through the soil, and tickling the tips of your fingertips before entering your veins. It was most certainly easier said than done. With eyes closed, Anya drowned out everything around her but there was something there that wasn't allowing her to draw in the magic. Maybe she wasn't as focused as she thought. Subconsciously, she began to bite on her nails as she continued to whisper an inaudible spell. Finally, there was a spark.
