What the hell kind of question was that?
“If I didn’t want the answer, I wouldn’t be willing to ask the question,” He replied, jumping a bit at the other’s voice. He hadn’t expected him to come so soon.
Deep brown eyes appraised him and his timeless vessel as his teeth worried his bottom lip for a moment.
“I’d offer you a seat, but you know… I’m not sure you’re really here. You can sit if you’re able….”
Sasha watched the guardian of time from the corner, her tail flicking back and forth as she appraised his very presence.
“I….” Jason started before he cleared his throat.
“I know demons aren’t supposed to be able to have children, so explain that one to me. I shouldn’t even exist.”
Smiling at the seat remark, Khronos obliged the other and sat down. With a bit of a faraway look in his eye, he began to speak, “The astral is a very quiet place you would be surprised. Beings human, non, and even those so-called imaginary friends all meeting in was space. Doing things that could never be expected.”
Yes, he got a bit wistful in places like that because of the origins of how all life, no matter where it was was linked. Turning his eyes back to Jason, “I did not mean to give you a start. After our first interaction, I was curious if you would wish to speak with me again.”
The question was not as illogical as many believed, yet when you are the product sometimes the obvious don’t feel that it applies to you, “As mundane as it may seem Jason just as when humans desire for an offspring they set upon that course. It’s not so different from those like yourself. The desire often is replaced with the purpose of one’s mortality. Demons can be destroyed and Witches-well, they have found a number of different methods of death regardless of their intentions.”
Letting this sink in for a moment he watched Jason’s expression then brought up his hand holding his finger to signify number one.
“They, your parents can face a singular death regardless if it’s with a spell, an object, or a more powerful foe. But with you, it gets a little more complex the blood has been mingled. What may have killed them may cause you only discomfort as you are stronger than they were to continue their work. In most cases, each generation is stronger than the last with a tiny something to allow them to continue where those before simply passed away. But there are some that regressed, and far less inventive than the Homo erectus.”
