The front of a Queen Metroid I sprited in PICO-8. Largely inspired by its appearance in Another Metroid II Remake, but with details taken from the original Metroid II. Bonus Samus Returns-colored Queen included.

Parasitic Organisms man-made in a joint effort between the Echidna and Chozo to rid the planet SR388 of the X-Parasite as their single-minded desire to replicate and consume everything was deemed too horrific of a threat to leave unchecked. Of course, the metroids would become a problem themselves, as not only would they become dangerous when there weren’t any Thoha Chozo around to control them, but plenty of people would see them far more useful as a deadly weapon, especially the Space Pirates. The job to rid the galaxy of these creatures turned weapon would fall onto Rouge’s shoulders, save the one infant metroid who hatched before her eyes after her adventure on SR388...
