12. how are you?

oof, loaded question babe. I’m alright at the moment. I’ve recent gotten closer with a friend and it makes me very happy. I’m working on a couple projects, and i’ve gotten back into reading. All in all, i’d say things are on the upswing.

27. which character would you want to be?

the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I vibe with him.

30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?

strawberry smoothies with little chunks of ice in the bottom that didn’t make it through the blender, small cemeteries hidden in odd places, trips to the airport, and haunted bridges/bridges with legends attached to them.

God I love this fic so much. Nep’s writing never ceases to blow me away; it’s so charming and witty and seamless and captivating?? The fluff is everything?? Could reread this a million times and never get sick of it, will always make me smile like an idiot.

grilled cheese and broccoli cheddar soup!

tulips and strawberries. I have a very green thumb, but I’m not a huge gardener. I’d plant tulips and strawberries, though, because my mom loves them.

mars brown; what’s a movie that always puts a smile on your face/makes you laugh?

ooo! There’s two, actually! Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. If I’m ever feeling down, either of those movies will cheer me right up.

indigo; what’s the best/sweetest compliment you have ever received?

@neptune-bound told me that my poetry turned his interest in poetry on its head. He said he hated it before, but that my prose blew him away. I cried for a few hours after that, because no one has ever said anything like that to me, and it honestly was one of the greatest things anyone has ever said to me.

also @llaquearia told me that my prose was masterfully crafted, and that she was highly impressed with what I wrote. At a time when I was incredibly vulnerable and unsure of my writing and my place in the writing world, this meant more to me than I can ever express. I stared at that email for a good three hours, and my cheeks hurt from smiling. She gave me the confidence to keep writing.

lavender or bergamot! but not together
