Here’s my last page from #messypages by @tanyaleekahler @getmessyartjournal that I created using techniques I learned in the class and put to use after it locked me out. this was a collage mixed media page using a cut out sketch inspired by @studio.katie (mine is a bit sad/in need of improvement but it’s ok it’s an art journal after all) I originally made some marks of oil pastel and brushed watercolour ink on top of it making the background, after sketching and cutting out the girl I took some Matte medium and brushed it down sticking it to the page, it’s a pretty simple page but I like it, especially since I experimented more with oil pastels and ways to use them! 🌟 A little Shine makes everything better 🌟⁠ just a little sketchbook page before I undergo surgery to remove a mass in my neck tomorrow. When in doubt, distract yourself with shiny paint :) An older page from when I was working through the “Dreamy clouds” lesson of #messypages by @getmessyartjournal by @tanyaleekalher and mixing some media! I originally doodled this girl while at a lettering class at @papermouseatelier from quite a long time ago now before the days of the big C word having finished up my project and wanted to work on some little illustrated lettering ideas, so I cut her out from the piece of paper I’ve had laying around and glued her on top of the cloud once the first layer and layer of bronze (or is it more of a copper color?) shiny paint had both dried. And voila, the page is finished!
