I've just been watching the ABC's Message Stick: 480 ANZAC series on Australian Indigenous men and women who volunteered to defend and serve Australia in the various conflicts. They are concise, most only being 5 mins. I'd recommend people to watch them on ABC iView if they want to know more about something you'll never hear about in any white history school text book. Also, the 2 part story of the Aboriginal warrior Pemulwuy, who fought back against the British colonist invaders is excellent!
Message Stick is fantastic. I also recommend anyone who is interested in this stuff go watch these mini episodes! Make sure to keep an eye out on NITV, too, because they’re solely an Indigenous channel and are always doing stories of our Indigenous ANZACS and the conflicts between the white invaders and Indigenous peoples.
