Do you have any photos of your process of creating Johnny? Your art is so amazing it’s going to haunt my dreams (that’s a compliment)
Thank you for the compliment! Here is my homunculus.
if you don’t mind me asking, do you have any tips on your digital painting :>? I’m so impressed by the quality of your work and ur speed!! is it just a speed that comes with expertise or do you have a strategy? thank u!!
Ohhh I am not fast trust me. I just have no life no in person friends and drawing is the main thing I do. The majority of my illustrations take me about 20+ total work hours. My doodle commissions take me about 3 hours just to draw one character, and my messy simple portraits take me about 3 to 4 as well. I would say the biggest skills that will aid in painting is observation and translation. I take my own reference photos for each of my pieces, and infer how I should be interpreting the light and shadow. ... even roughly sculpting my references like this
I have a very sculptural approach to my illustration process in general, starting out with a rough base and then shaping it as I go along adding lots of layers of not only rendering, but texture as well. (Note: the piece with the mannequins is mixed media. The mannequins were photographed and photobashed in. The rest is drawn.)
For me personally, I find doing sculpture work helps me understand forms, light, and shadow more so than any drawing drills. I started out sculpting first as a kid and only really started focusing in on drawing in my later teens. I'll recommend some artists on youtube that I believe will help with more in-depth advice than what I can give in a text post!
Hello! I really like your art :D do u have any advice on composition?
I ❤️ the golden ratio
I’m glad you like my work =^]
Idk anything about your OCs but as a linguist I appreciate the representation
Ah you mean Carmen. Yeah she's great. If she were to encounter aliens *cough* she'd be freaked out at first and then go "Wait. It would actually be a really cool linguistic study to learn their language."

How In The Name Of Everything Above And Below Are You This Good At Art
Thank you for your compliment! It is all because at age 17 I listened to "Too Much Paranoias" by DEVO and this guy popped up in my head:
I proceeded to become absolutely enamored with him. I decided I had to go and learn everything I could about art and anatomy in order to properly draw him one day. There was a time I would sleep only three hours at a time in order to go back to studying and drawing him.
I drew him all. the. time.
Pardon my language in some of these. I was a teenager and an avid online gamer.
As the years continued, I didn't stop.
The entire reason why I am where I am today is because of this guy.
Thank you, Maurice. I hope to one day get good enough to illustrate you properly. I've been trying for many years. I'm not quite there yet.
Oh Seth is there too. He was around before Maurice. He's also an important part of why I'm insane.
I made an entire multi part anthology series in my head because I liked these two too much. They don't even show up till part 3, Down in the Underground
Well.
Technically they appear in part 2, Grey Matters.
A roboticist and a geneticist... hmm...
hi!!!!!!!1 hello hi, do you have any lore for the Wizard? i love them (also do they have pronoun?)
The Wizard is a part of a story @miiboaa and I came up with when we were teenagers. The tone of it has completely changed after we went through college and, woo boy, development is a bit messy at the moment. We started out calling it "Italy Doesn't Exist Yet" with the gimmick being that Italy is an entirely fictional country that doesn't exist in our world and is slowly materializing into reality. We were having a bit of difficultly keeping such a silly premise as the tone became a lot more somber over time.
Here is the basic premise of IDEY, now officially renamed to "I Don't Exist Yet"
The Wizard (he/him) is the head wizard of the - uh - fantasy land? Land of creativity? We'll figure it out. "Not Italy, but somehow this bird is Neapolitan."
His job is to scout out, solve, and take care of major magical anomalies and spawnings throughout the land.
Examples include:
- A hole being torn in the fabric of reality
- A drawing from a sketchbook spontaneously coming to life after travelers wander through a chaos zone.
The Wizard is, at his core, a grouchy old italian man that dreams of retiring and for his pupil, Prismo (they/them), to take his place.
First drawing done by @miiboaa , second by me.
The cause of the rift, Tomaso Clanks (he/him), was The Wizard's mentor back when he was younger. The Wizard doesn't hold any respect towards Tom anymore.
Animation by me, drawing by @miiboaa
Yeah. That's The Wizard lore.
WIZARD BLAST!!
