#vinyloftheday most likely be vinyl of the week (I think I'll be posting snippets of this everyday for the next 5 days in my stories so y'all can have some audio 'church' to reflect on), because this is one of the greatest albums in my collection, which I've just acquired this weekend during #RecordStoreDay at Oakland's @1234gorecords It's a #meshell Monday, I was totally blown away by her debut plantation lullabies, it's this sophomore release that has stayed absolutely embedded in my ears for decades. A beautiful, lush, sprawling record that still manages to be crisp, focused and with concision. Her whole catalog is worth investigation, but this is a damn good place to start.
